Nuclear energy is clean and if you disagree please show some proof.

It's worth it a this moment in time. We're running low on a lot of renewable sources, the amount of
energy that nuclear can harvest is far too tempting to pass whilst the current threat of zero energy
looms on the horizon. |

I guess, but I wish it didn't have to be that way |

Yes. There is no other practical choice now. The oil is running out big time and we need to make a
switchover to something sustainable now. Of course, options such as wind power and solar energy, and
more blue-sky efforts should be pursued, but we can't assume those are going to be in a position to
supply all of our energy needs within 30 years or so, which is the timeframe we should be looking
at.
Unfortunately, it's not true that the raw material used in nuclear power is in abundant supply. If
everyone in the world switched over to nuclear power to meet their energy needs rather than oil,
gas, and coal, the world would quickly run out. However, it's likely that different kinds of nuclear
reactors can be developed which will use more abundant raw materials. |

Agree. Not only Britain but US as well. |

And what would you do with the nuclear waste? |

I'd have to agree with koranzite. To use nuclear power at this moment in time would be risky because
we don't know if we will ever find a way to get rid of it. My thoughts on the subject are to turn
oil-producing budgets and oil-selling revenue into renewable resource producing facilities. After
enough facilities are produced and if we could keep the population at a ideal stationary point then
we could easily support ourselves on just the profit power of these renewable power plants, but that
is a whole lot of idealism and could only happen if the oil companies stood aside and people do the
impossible... Work together! |

We currently have no way of destroying nuclear waste. If we continue to rely on nuclear power, then
we will soon have a collosal problem with no apparent way out. |
