| Non-Americans Should Not Work At Fast Food Restaurants |
| Don't have anything against non-Americans, However, I have noticed that at many fast food places there are either Mexicans or Indians there who you can't understand and they don't understand you. It is just very annoying when you order something and they screw it up twice. |

I've got a problem with telling people who/where they can/can't hire/work. Now if I were managing a
restaurant I'd put the more proficient English speakers up at the counter to decrease screwups with
orders, because misunderstandings are common with language barriers this big, and the people who
didn't speak it so well doing other duties....but people should be allowed to work wherever they
want. |

So they're good enough to cut your lawn, plant your flowers, take care of your kids, clean your
house, do your dishes, and do your laundry for a very cheap price, but once they try and get an
actual job you guys totally oppose..it appears slightly to me that America still shows repression
towards certain races and cultures. |

I agree with Homestar's response. The debate would be more accurate if it were pertaining to how
well they can speak and understand English (or the language in the country they are working in). I
totally hate it when the little...not sure of her nationality...is working at the McD's when I go
there for coffee. She never, ever gets it right and I go there often...an addiction to the caramel
latte..lol. She is so tiny, petite and very nice, but she always thinks I asked for whipped cream
when I only want some cream added to cool the coffee off. LOL Drives me nuts and I have to go back
around several times before I get my order right. |

How can captain kirk(or whatever) go to another planet, See an alien who speaks perfect English, But
I can't go to McDonald's and get a cheeseburger with fries? |

If they're working at Taco Bell, you should have to order in Spanish. |

There are fast food restaurants all over the world. I just require that they try to speak whatever
is the language of that country the best they can. Do you really expect them to have Americans at
the McDonald's in Germany speaking American English? That would be wrong. |

If the title was "Non-English speakers should not work at fast food restaurants" you might have a
point. |

If you don't want non-Americans to work there then you personally should go take a job in a fast
food joint so there will be one less non-American there. Get your friends to sign up too, I'm sure
they'll thank you for the opportunity. Pretty soon no non-Americans will be working there, instead
they'll have nice white collar jobs and when they come in for their lunch break then you and your
friends can serve them fries -- and I guess then everyone wins. |

It is annoying when you can't understand your server. However, I find that a form of
discrimination, so I can't support it. Can't they work in the back? |

I agree with StBalders and there aren't any Indians at fast food restaurants... Only at the Indian
ones and they speak enough English... |

Then you won't get served. There is one reason they do work there and that is because the natives
won't. |
