Nobody Else Exists, My Life Is A Simulation And I Am In Fact A Brain In A Laboratory Being Watched Over By Superior Life Forms.
I am myself. Why is this so? How do I know that anyone else that surrounds me experiences what I do and is not just in fact a simulation of a real person? Perhaps what I consider to be reality is nothing more than an advanced program mimicking what reality was once like.

You are indeed correct. I am but a creation of your sensory cortex designed to embody your subconscious mind. Your are indeed a brain (albeit a big one) in a lab being watched over by a race of humanoid beings with 7 fingers on each of their 3 arms. Congratulations.

Jokes aside, you could well be right. I've often pondered this myself. If what we sense are but electrical signals interpreted by the brain, what if the interpretations are false? Does the world really exist as we see it, if at all?

Are you talking about a form of Matrix??

The thought is pretty interesting. Are the objects you touch really what they feel like to you or a part of your imagination. Maybe someone programmed us to feel this certain touch and nothing else.

What do you think about a parallel universe?

 I think that you do not actually exist. My theory bears some resemblance to the matrix except that I'm saying that I am the only person and my life is like an experiment.

It is an interesting concept, but what if instead of being a 'lab pet' we are to them as ants are to us, oblivious to their existence way down here , or perhaps we are similar to Dr. Suses who's existing on speck of dust? For now we have no absolute proof of my theory, but your theory can NEVER be Disproved, well done.

This Thought is interesting but i would have to disagree find the person closest to you and touch there shirt if you can feel their shirt then they actually exist but if not then you may be right but fair warning you may want to warn the person about this first before doing it
