You did not make a good point at all- "I don't like it." Nobody likes going to work, but they have
to. Nobody likes paying taxes, but they have to. See where I'm going?
However, I do have to agree homework shouldn't be required. I believe students with passing grades
and who are mature enough should have the right to choose homework or not. Several students would,
in order to practice the material and confirm an understanding, while others wouldn't. It is their
own decision though, and it probably will affect their outcome when they're finished with school. |

I'm thee laziest person when it comes to homework but I know it's a way of improving my education. I
would forget the things teachers explained the day after if I didn't have homework.
And 'Flash' has a very intellectual point on this.
He seems to know much more than me, a measly high school studen!t! |

I hate homework full stop
but ask yourself, where would u be if u hadn't worked, would u have had the motivation to do the
extra work that u couldn't do in class u need a structured regime to reinforce the learning taken
place earlier that day |

Homework keeps your mind on the things that children should be thinking about. Like their grades,
and maintaining some kind of responsibility. If your mind is allowed to wonder outside of school,
and you never get reminders, of your work in school, then going to school would be a waste of
resources, and material. Because the kids would only sit through school, forget what they have
learned, and get into things they shouldn't. Which will result in a very dumb generation of kids.
I'm for homework. Do your homework kid! |

From our early steps of education we learn about some rules and regulation. Besides the formal
course of education these rules are also imposed upon us. Day by day we become habituate with these
rules. In the primary classes teachers give some home work for the students. These home works
provide recapitulation of the classes to the students, and it would also help them to memorize the
whole lesson, as well as help to score good marks in exams. It would be a good habit for the
students. If the students practice it well it would also be beneficial for their higher education
when they used to attain long lectures. If home works are not be given in the primary schools it
would be a great loss for the students. It would not able to habituate them with a good practice,
may they face problem in higher education. |

Every needs to do some work outside there work environment. How will they ever learn. |

No, it exercises the brain and you do not forget what you learned at home. |

Homework is not about liking or not liking it is a need! Students need to stay in touch with the
learned lessons and homework is a way for them to practice concepts and understand them on their
own. Teachers should enquire why students are always complaining about homework and mostly the main
issue is repetitive or boring nature of work given as homework. Apart from the usual written and
oral work interesting exercises and activities should also be a part of the homework so as to
generate some interest. |

Homework is useful. Yes, sometimes we may not feel like doing it, but it does help us to learn more
and achieve better grades.
Since there isn't enough time to get all the work done during a lesson, it is a good idea to take
the work home and complete it there, so that you are ready for the next lesson. Teachers often like
students to take work home because they run out of time in the lesson and if the students complete a
piece of work at home then the teacher can move onto the next part of the module.
Homework helps us to keep our brains on the subject that we are learning, rather than go to class,
forget what we've learnt and then have to go over it all again the next lesson. It also helps us to
try and tackle tasks alone, and we may not be as distracted at home as we are in the classroom. |

I know this may be hard for you to believe bobbilly, but a lot of students just waste their time
faffing about on websites instead of doing anything productive. So it's a good thing in my view that
they get homework from their teachers to keep them occupied. |

If homework is interesting and helps to learn, then we need. But if homework is a way that teachers
want to punish students, then big NO. |

Ok, if we have learned nothing from history, it is that Education is necessary for anything to get
done in this world. And all homework is a review for student to do out of class to keep the
knowledge learned in class in their minds. Without reviews such as homework one could easily forget
or misunderstand the content learned in class and make the whole learning process pointless. |

I wrote this topic just wondering on peoples opinions as a student my self. I also think homework is
helpful to review and study things away from school. |

I speak as a student when I say that homework is not entirely necessary all the time, but it does
help (as much as I hate to admit it). It's just like training for a sport or playing an instrument.
Perfect practice makes perfect performance. Though it is kind of obnoxious when teachers assign
pointless little projects that don't really teach us anything. |

Be for real. All students need to have homework. Not only does it teach responsibility, it also
reinforces the concepts you are studying and learning in class. Do you think that you are better
than everyone else and that you do not need to study? There is a reason a teacher issues homework
assignments. You should be happy that you have the opportunity to learn the materials and do
homework. Many kids around the world do not have that option and they remain behind their peers. You
may not like homework, but it is very essential to your success in school and to your future. You
can't see it now, but one day you will understand. |
