No Cellphones In School
[cellphones in school]

What if they need it for an emergency where the school telephone won't help or whatever? They should b allowed but like people have said, turn them off in lessons

I think students should be able to have a phone in school, but have it turned off during class.

I'm voting on this side because my view is that it is OK to have a mobile telephone in school but that it should be switched off. If there is an emergency or urgent piece of information you need to be given the giver will know you are at school and can contact you through the office.

Mobiles should not be on during class, there is no need. They are disruptive.

You do need to talk on the phone during school. If you need to you should ask permission from an official.

Cell phones should be in school because if you need to call your parents you don't have 2 go into the school and call your parent and then go back out side and wait for your mom or dad. Instead you could pull out you are handy CELL PHONE and call them right where your standing! And you won't even have to deal with the grumpy or moody office lady/man. Oops wrong side!

I do not think that students should be allowed to carry or use cell phones to school. Students today are not mature enough to use the cell phone responsibly and it would just interfere with their education. If a student wants to bring a cell phone to school to use to call parents, then they should keep it in their locker or check it in with the principal first. Students should be in school to learn and get an education, not sitting around talking and texting on the phone all day long. There is nothing more rude than a cell phone going off in class while others are trying to concentrate and learn something. There is a time and place for cell phone use.

In high schools and college cell phones should be in school. When there are school shooting cell phones may save lives. If there is a gun being held to everyone in the office how is the cops going to be contacted. I think that cell phones should be aloud in all school for safety sake. But cell phones should never be used in class.

Meh, I carry one every day of my life, and would feel vulnerable without it. It doesn't disrupt my education, it sits in my pocket and tells me the time when I need it to.

Oh and I booked a doctors appointment with it during a free period yesterday, they're useful.
