There certainly is some truth to the old adage. However, and this is an important distinction, you
don't have to be a nice guy to be a good man. And a good man does not have to finish last. In fact,
not all nice guys are good men. |

Eh, I could go either way on this one, seeing as how I am considered one of those "nice guys." I
remember the bad boys in school getting all the girls because the girls wanted to be treated like
poo; these girls didn't appreciate the nice guys until they were older and were looking for
something a little more stable. The way I look at it though is that nice guys start off really
friggin' slow, but eventually win the race...sort of like the tortoise and the hare. Slow n' steady
baby!
You also have to realize that some of the nice guys responding to this debate are still in the race,
which means they will believe that nice guys do in fact finish last, when they have not finished
yet. |
