| National Retail Chains Should Be Closed On Sundays And Holidays! |
| I am calling for all national retail chains such as Simon Malls, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Albertsen's Supermarkets & Macy's department stores nationwide to close on Sundays and holidays, allowing their employees a day with their families. Of course, drug stores, convenience stores, restaurants, amusement parks, Internet shopping, flea markets and yard sales may continue to operate on these days. What do you say? Let's hear it! |

Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm just talking about the big box stores like department stores,
supermarkets and shopping malls. The drug stores would definitely remain open on Sundays and
holidays, as would convenience stores, restaurants and lounges, golf courses, amusement parks & fast
food joints. I believe that local businesses should be allowed to thrive and get support from the
communities they serve. Also, the Internet sites for department stores and supermarkets could
remain open, so that people online could shop there(their orders would be processed and delivered on
the next business day). After all, local business is what drives America's economy! |

Its up to the store's management. If they want to close on Sundays and holidays they can, but I
wouldn't go as far as to say they should. |

If people are willing to work on those days, and the companies want more profit, then the stores
will stay open. |

I can remember when everything was shut down on Sundays. It was nicer for families in the long run.
However, i don't think the government needs to legislate when a store can be open or not. If they
do it voluntarily (which they won't) it would be nice, but let commerce flow on Sundays if they want
it. (Plus people working get time and a half in the US which is really important to some.) |

If you close all those stores on Sundays and holidays, when are the people who work the rest of the
week supposed to shop? Besides, what business is it of yours if the owners of those businesses
decide to be open on the weekends?
If you don't like it, get a different job. |

Don't the people at the drug stores convenience stores etc have families then? Why have you
separated the latter from the former?
Anyway they won't as Sundays are a day they do a lot of trading because most people work through the
week and Sundays are one of the days they have free to do their shopping. |
