Name Brands Like Abercrombie And Hollister Are Not Good Choices Of Clothing For Minors.
Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and Aeropastle are Aeropostale are all among the most popular choice of clothing among students in the United States. However, these are not good clothing choices for minors.

I'm 27 and far beyond the grips of high school fads, and I think Hollister makes great clothes at a fairly decent price. The stores seem to stock most sizes, never had a problem there. Of course, I'm more likely to wear t-shirts that are plain white and 3-5 to a pack, but the rest of their clothes are terrific.

I agree. They are way overrated and their clothing just looks horrible. Seriously, I'd rather have a plain shirt than one that has HOLLISTER or something like that on it.

Just because you buy their clothes doesn't mean you get shirts with only their name on them. I love all of these stores and yet i only have one shirt that says only hollister on it and it was a gift. A lot of their clothing is cute and fashion- forward.

I think its funny that people will actually buy t-shirts with nothing on them except the word HOLLISTER split into three lines even though its one word.

I've tried on their clothes and I'm and average-sized person, not fat , not tall, but I am rather short. I tried on some of the clothes of the brands you mentioned, and they were tiny! The clothes are made for tall skinny people not normal people like you or I. The shirts are too tight too.

I agree.
Some of the things that they have there are either too short, too low cut or too tight.
It makes you look trashy not cool.
Especially with the pictures that they have up on the walls.
Can you talk about gross?

Sorry what?! I cannot believe that you think that Abercrombie is Trashy! Its the person that makes the clothes trashy not the clothes that make the person. The clothes are made very well and they are high quality clothing, and the advertisements, what's your deal, find an ad for a high end store that isn't like that have you seen Dolce and Gabbana that is worse, but yet they are very respected company's in the fashion world, so think next time when you say something is "TRASHY"

I buy cheap clothes, like imitation. I make enough money to buy expensive stuff, but what for? I don't care what others think! I'm me deal with it, and if someone has to buy name brand clothes to make themselves feel good... That's horrible!

When children purchase and wear these clothes, they are literally becoming walking billboards for the companies at their own cost. Also, many students feel they need to purchase these clothes to fit in and be accepted among others. The extreme prices of these clothes is also a negative side- the cost of one sweater can often buy several articles of clothing elsewhere.

uhm...so because i said i wear those brands of clothing, I'm considered nearly all students???nice genius
and actually i do wear the clothes for the style, i don't have to show that I'm rich or "cool" by wearing certain clothing to make friends, it's called a personality buddy, and not every single article of my clothing is from those stores.
clothes fit a certain way too...and abercrombie and hollister make their clothes a certain way that look good...which you probably don't know, because i doubt you shop there. the point is, you don't like the clothing, fine, but I'm sure others would agree when i say it's our choice in what we want to wear not yours, so continue shopping at your stores, and everyone will continue shopping at theirs....

I disagree. I mean why are those clothes bad but other brands fine? It doesn't make any sense. It's not like their clothes are innapropriate or anything. I think parents should decide where they want their kids to shop.

I think those brands are poor choices for children, not all minors. 13-16 year old are minors and they are acceptable choices for them if their parents are on board with their choices. As a matter of fact I still have to buy my jeans from abercrombie kids because they are the only jeans I can find that actually fit me! Yes I am that tiny, I'm only 4'9", and take a kids size 10!

How is it a bad chouse of clothing at all? There's nothing wrong with their clothes. They don't have bad words on them, and none of their shirts are low cut--skirts/skorts are way short. So what is so wrong with them? I will answer that, nothing. Just because they say the name of the brand on them doesn't mean they are a bad choice. Plus, Just because one person thinks a plain shirt is better. . It doesn't exactly mean that a nice designed shirt from Aero or Hollister is a 'bad' choice. And its not just about the name of the brand. . FYI.

In an attempt to be accepted by others, kids purchase this clothing to fit in. However, many families don't have enough money to put food on the table while their kids are wearing $30 tee-shirts. The companies are fully aware of this yet continue to mark their clothing at high prices.

Little kids could look "fly" without wearing over-priced clothing from a company that takes advantage of the nation's youth.

Okay here bud. I shop at abercrombie, mostly for the jeans and every now and then some shirts but that doesn't mean I'm a walking billboard for them. It just means i like their clothes. I like them cuz they're comfortable and fit the right way..not because it's what my friends are wearing and you're right, the styles that are sold at abercrombie/american eagle/hollister can be bought at different stores for a cheaper price. BUT those clothes don't fit as well as the clothes from the name brand stores. And not all people wear the name brands to gain friends..IT'S THE STYLE NOW. And as for the uniforms..that's just dumb. Who'd want to get up day after day after day and wear the same exact clothes to school? That's just taking away the students' individuality. If you don't like the stores then so be it...most others do and that's their choice. And yes, the clothes are good choices for minors, they are made out of better material and last a whole lot longer then clothes from other stores.

Uhm...i wear abercrombie/hollister/lacoste,i wear it because i actually like the clothing, and almost every brand of clothing has their brand somewhere showing, not every, but most, so who gives if its that certain brand of clothing....it's a preference of style, who cares what you think about how other people dress, if you don't want to shop there, just don't.

Thank you for confirming my point- nearly all students wear brand clothing. And although many clothes do display brand names, they are also often hidden and only displayed on tags. And the "style" of these clothing are also featured on clothes available for a cheaper price elsewhere.

And I'm wondering just why you like the clothing- I'm doubting it's cause of "style". I cannot count the number of times within my school I've seen a kid decked in brand clothing for the first time in a desperate attempt to gain friends. Yet another reason I believe uniforms should be enforced within our schools.
