I agree! It Does degrade women. Also, young girls try to emulate what they see Adults doing on
television. It sets a bad example to tweens and teens, and I believe that it contributes to the
younger age that girls are becoming sexually active. |

They wouldn't make these kinds of videos if they weren't being watched. Know what I mean? Believe
me, the music industry knows what they are doing. They know what the target audience is and they go
after it full swing. If vulgar and degrading material did not sell millions, then they would drop
it in a heart-beat and try something else. My advise is turn the channel and do not buy the
material. If enough people would get together and boycott certain bands or record labels, they
would change their tune. Hit them where it hurts the most...the pocket book. |

Yes it does degrade woman, but what does it say about the woman who are willing to do it. If you
have the nice body there is a way that you can show it off with out hardly wearing anything |

I recently took my 7 year old niece to a backstreet boys concert and the opening act was girlicious,
I have obviously been living in a cave because I had no idea they were so....inappropriate for
anyone under 16, I had to spend the opening act buying t-shirts and $6 sodas just to keep her
distracted from watching the nearly naked gyrations on stage. Sad that this will be the 'normal' for
the next generation |

I personally boycott these music bands. A person should individually boycott what they don't believe
in. Don't support what you don't support. |

I agree with what you say, but I understand why it is done ( I have a lot of family in the music
industry..some quite famous), it holds the younger generations attention, and they may listen to the
song..remember it, BECAUSE of the half naked women. Sad, but true..A reality of Society today |

It does degrade women, but it's also supply and demand. If the public stops buying the music then
they'll stop putting them in the videos (and frankly that just isn't going to happen anytime soon). |

The women doing the dancing don’t seem to mind. I’ll bet that if you were paid as much as they
were for doing it, you wouldn’t either. |

How can it give a bad image to the music industry if thats what their target audience wants to see?
The people they cater to are more than happy with the music industry. |

It is not just the girls that take too much off, clothing-wise.
Although it seems that way at times.
Right Said Fred wears his see-thru back mesh t-shirt to show off his pecs and abs, in his video
online song "Too Sexy".
Though probably done as a fun type of joke about women.....;-)
just to poke fun at us - I mean - them ;-) |
