I agree in some ways |

|

|

|
|
It rises now before me
the dark and silent barrier between
all I am
and all that I was ever meant to be
towering
blocking out the light and blinding me
I want to see
Though gold and diamonds cast a spell
they're not for me
I know it well
The riches that I seek
are waiting on the other side
The promised land is waiting
like a maiden that is soon to be a bride
The moment is a masterpiece
the weight of indecisions in the air
standing there
the symbol and the sum of all that's me
in harmony
shining through
and smiling back at all who wait to cross
there is no loss |

I agree! |

Music is one of many things.
"If music be the food of love, play on maestro"
So, yes I think it is.
Music truly exposes who you are.
As opposed to the masquerade you may keep up. |

A HEART SHOULD ALWAYS BEAT TO PURE MUSIC. THE BEST SORT OF MUSIC IS WHAT IT SHOULD BE-SACRED...;-) I
like Beethoven and Mozart- or else some of the ariel compositions of the elder Italians, as
Palestrina, and Carissimi. And I love Purcell.
I could write as good now as ever I did, if I were perfectly free from vexation, and were in the ad
libertum hearing of fine music, which has a sensible effect in harmonising my thoughts, and in
animating my inventive faculty. Music is a delicate food, like love. Fill your soul full of a good
delicacy and Rock On!! |

Music isn't exactly words, but i agree. |

Symphony's and heavenly choirs have a language of their own that speak to the soul. |

I agree, but its not just the words that expresses one's soul. There's no argument that the type of
music you listen to can relate to the type of person you are. |

Hard to argue with this one, but I'll give it a try:
The brain must interpret the analog auditory signals received by the eardrums; how they get to the
heart is anyone's guess.
Strictly speaking, the heart is a group of muscles that pump blood; not sure how it relates to the
"soul".
The "soul" is, by definition, arbitrary and undefined; it's very existence is strictly a matter of
faith.
I will agree that music is it's own language, and that it speaks directly to our emotions.
BTW, I "love" music, especially music that doesn't "suck"!
