The obvious first question is whether Jesus would have fought at all. Some interpret the sayings of
Jesus as endorsing pacifism. Indeed, it is difficult to dispute this view without resorting to
tortured interpretations of the bible verse, or supplying ludicrous "contexts" which somehow change
the plain meaning of the words. Nevertheless, over the centuries, cultists who considered themselves
faithful Christians have clearly not been pacificists. Most Christians today are not pacifists. So
perhaps we should allow some slight degree of possibility that Jesus was not a pacifist.
In any case, his behaviour with the money sellers in the temple shows us that he was a hypocrite,
just like all his followers. So, regardless of his highfalutin words, when it came down to a death
struggle between him and the guy in the turban, Jesus would have shivered in fear and done his best
to put up a fight.
There's also the drug question. We know that Jesus spent much of his time drugged out on cannabis.
This tends to reduce aggressiveness and induce passivity. So this may also have made Jesus reluctant
to fight. But most likely, when he saw that his life was in danger, he would snap out of it and
attempt to get real.
Next, we should consider the possibility of whether either had magical powers. I actually don't have
a clue whether it is claimed that Muhammad had magical powers. In any case, it's irrelevant. Let's
look at Jesus' supposed magical powers. Even assuming that the biblical accounts are accurate, what
does he do? Raise a guy from the dead; make some loaves and fishes; turn water into wine. It's clear
that his powers were not infinite from when he said on the cross "Oh my god, why hast thou forsaken
me?" So, even under the most favourable interpretation, Jesus had a limited array of magic powers,
none of which had any significant combat potential.
All of this means that, in the end, it would come down to a straight sluggers' fight. Here's how I
think it would have gone. Jesus would have seen that he was utterly overmatched by the brawny
Muhammad. He would realise that his best bet was to launch into some phoney spiel about peace to try
and dissuade Muhammad from fighting. Ignoring this, Muhammad would walk straight up and head butt
Jesus in the face. At this point, Jesus would realise that his spiel strategy wasn't working and try
and put up a fight instead. But by this time it would be too late. Jesus' nose would probably
already have been broken and Muhammad would now be pummelling him with his fists. It would be over
pretty quickly.
Jesus' only real chance would be to lull Muhammad into a false sense of security, luring him up
close, then trying some ludicrous move like trying to poke his eyeballs out or something like that. |

I would have paid to watch this one. And it's hard to say without knowing the style. Straight-up
swordplay would go to Mohammed, as would slinging rocks or crude club combat.
Boxing would be different, as I suspect Jesus would have the reach. If he used a lot of left jabs
and circled constantly, avoiding clinches, he might take the fight on points.
MMA style, the nod would go to Mohammed because he would probably fight nastier on the ground.
But if we went to karate, Jesus would again have a chance. I can see it now: Slow-motion shot. Jesus
is in mid-air, delivering a jumping front kick. His fingers are contorted and his robes trail out
behind him.
If we take the battle all the way to the supernatural realm, it's a toss-up. Angels vs. Genies.
Maybe we could call in Zeus and L. Ron Hubbard to form a perfect cage match. |

I think it very much depends on who is the true prophet of God. If they both have magical powers
then it would be an amazing fight that I couldn't predict, but if we assume for the sake of this
fight that both are mere mortals then Mohammed was indeed a warrior whilst Jesus was more a straight
preacher. Think of it like an RPG, Mohammed is a swordsman and Jesus a cleric, if the cleric is
caught in a straight confrontation he is screwed.
I like StBalders' style though. |

If muhammand was smart he could easily beat Jesus. First he would kill him in some way, the easy
part. Then he would have to do something with the body so it doesn't rise again. I think acid might
work or intense heat. |

Yeah. "Jesus" was likely weaker, but he did have legions of angels at his command. He would not use
them, though, for such a thing. Like others here said- he would not hurt his enemies. He had to
qualify as an acceptable sacrifice. He made Mohammed. |

I agree because I think Jesus would have said "cast the first stone" then he
would have gotten knocked out. So I see where you're going with this, I see. |

Jesus would have taken the beating and "turned the other cheek". Muhammad would then be punished by
God from above. |

You messed up your own debate....see in your description you said "jesus was a wimp who LET HIMSELF
be nailed to a tree...." Jesus had, and still holds, suprememe power he could have gotten himself
down if he wanted to but he paid the price for OUR sins so that we might have the right to eternal
life. By no means am i engaging in this senseless debate about ho would win but don't act like Jesus
was a punk or a wimp as you put it because he wasn't. Let me ask you, would you die for anyone else
even your mom or would you get spit on and stonned and thrown on a cross for a friend. I think not,
Jesus was quite strong in my opinion |

No debate mohammed s.a.w. And Jesus (isa)a.s. Are both prophets in Islam .or are you so unwise as
not to know .or do you just not have the capacity to be respectful to both these great prophets.
Jesus .a.s. And mohammed. S.a.w. Were both peace full people .at least know the truth, even if you
don't like it |

First of all, allowing yourself into being attacked without resistance is not "wimpy", that's
absurd.
But Muhammad would win, but Jesus wouldn't hit him back, so it's not considered a "fight". |

No Jesus would not have been as stupid as to get into a fight. |

No, people. You don't get it. Jesus wouldn't fight, and even if he did, he'd have God on his side.
Mohammad wouldn't. |
