Movie Costs Should Vary Based On Age Group, Length, 3D, Etc, Instead Of A Theatre Having One Flat Cost For All
A cartoon geared for kids should cost a few dollars less than a teenie movie which should cost less than a serious mature drama which should cost less than a 3D feature which should cost less than an IMAX. And a 45 minute IMAX should cost less than a full 90 minute movie shown in IMAX.
Pricing movies according to its production qualities and intention primarily makes sense. The only
thing that makes me reluctant upon agreeing is, how expensive could they stretch the higher value
movies?
I like the idea but you know that will mean a basic price being the same as it is now and then add
extras for 3D (as they are doing) length, age group, popularity etc.
It will just work out more expensive overall. It will just appear like the 90 minute Adam Sandler
ones are a bargain where really they are the original standard price.
I think cartoon kiddie shows should cost way more as the little monsters spill snacks run around hop
on the seats have accidents and wet on the seats and cause wear and tear to the theatres at a faster
rate than adults. They should charge per kid and let the adult supervising them in for free.
