Makes great gravy.
When the roast is done, place roasting dish or pan on the gas ring or hob. Make a rouse. Add water
slowly stir like mad, adding water and keep stirring and the flame or heat down.
Move the tin from the heat if you need to..
Add a couple of teaspoon sized dollops of Marmite and water.
When Desired thickness, put it in saucepan return to heat and reduce as required. Add seasoning if
required along the way. If roast is seasoned in the first place it won't be needed. |

A British boyfriend I once had ate it a lot. He also had some ailments we both found were related
to yeast sensitivity. Despite what we learned, he said he would never give up his Marmite. To this
day, I have unpleasant associations with it.
What does it taste like, bread or beer, maybe? |
