| Most Black People Who Are Voting For Obama Are Only Voting For Him Because He Is Black |
| I'm not racist at all. But i find a lot of black people voting for him without even knowing his views or anything. Like 90% of black people are voting for him, just seems to strange. And also it seems like they are thinking, "there's always been white presidents and now there's a black pres nom., I'm voting for him". I'm sure it'd be the same way if there were all black presidents and then a white nom.
Like i said i'm not racist, but it does seem that way. |

First of all I voted for Obama. I agree 60%. Not all blacks voted for Obama though. I know at least
6 that voted for MCcain. Anyway. Yes blacks turned out in droves to register(that's registering for
the first time) to vote. I personally would have voted for Colin Powell if he ran. Smart man indeed.
The fact that a majority of blacks haven't voted before Obama makes me angry because of all the
whining I've had to endure. If you don't vote you have no right to complain about who's in office. I
was in a store soon after the election and saw 2 blacks cut in front on the line next to mine. When
someone said something to them they said(and I quote)" Get used to it we got one of us in there and
we in control now white boy" I actually regretted not being in that line because my first response
was to beat them about the face and body with a couple o cans of sweet corn I had in my possession.
There are alot of blacks who think that Obama is going to change things here overnight. First of all
change what? Afirmative action has been in place for over 4 decades. The oportunity has been there,
just not the motivation. If anything his election proves there is no need for afirmative action
anymore, or should we call it by it's real name"reverse racism". I have many friends of all colors
and one thing they have in common with me. We work, we are not ignorant, and we want better for our
kids, We care about where we live and try to improve our community. Ignorance has no color. People
will always find reasons NOT to do something. Whoops went off on a tangent sry.. Obama has to
contend with senate and congress. It's not about what he wants. It's about whats good for all
americans Maybe now with Obama people will get jobs because of their qualifications and not their
skin color. What made these blacks think that Obama was going to be a God send? All you have to do
is look over at the African continent to see how blacks run government. They are no different than
us "devil" white men. Same greed, same deciet, same struggle for control and power over those less
fortunate. In this country There are those that have and those that don't. Most of those that are
well off now have sacrificed and sweated to get what they have. Spread the wealth...sorry I don't
subscribe to socialism. Poor has no color, but we All have the opportunity to lift ourselves out of
poverty. I grew up poor and I ain't no more. Was a long hard road and I am proud of myself for
bettering life for my children. Obama is proof that anyone can do anything if only they have the
desire to do it the right way. The hard way. The legal way. Oh just a afterthought...Why so many gun
sales leading up to and after the election? |

poverty into being a BILLIONAIRE on her own merit, dime, and ingenuity:
Oprah is intelligent, and keeps her head, she has experience in debate - that talk show for a
gazillion years by now......
OPRAH COULD BALANCE THE NATIONAL BUDGET GET US OUT OF DEBT ! |

Politics is usually about, Black and White, (i.e. Lies and Truth). Now if his camp starts spinning
loads of Black Lies out, which sound like truths, then he should pick up a lot of White voter's
votes, too. Not that I'm saying Black is a lie, and white is the truth. After all we do sometimes
say a little white lie. Hope you get my drift? Obama, after defeating the Clinton dynasty, and
picking up an amazing amount of white votes in doing so, should win the presidential contest with
ease. I would say that this is a foregone conclusion. |

Actually Bill Clinton got a higher percent of the black vote than Obama did. So did they vote for
him just because he's black? But to be honest if I had been unable to decide between the candidates
I might well have voted for Obama just to help prove that someone else besides an old white guy can
get elected. Or in other words though I am not black I might in certain circumstances have voted for
Obama just because he is black. |

This is the most ignorant comment I have heard in a long time. For HUNDREDS of years, and over 40
American presidents, whites have been voting for themselves. In fact, by legally dehumanizing blacks
for HUNDREDS of years, blacks had NO CHANCE of becoming president because whites would not EVEN
allow for the competition. Since blacks have been permitted to fully get involved in the political
process, they have voted time and time again for a WHITE MALE. In fact, the majority of the black
vote has gone to white males, ever since blacks could vote! We're talking 1800's here! This is the
power of racism. You seem completely oblivious to your elevated status in society, and have the gaul
to state that blacks are voting for a candidate *just because* he's black. If that were the case,
blacks would've jumped ship when Alan Keyes ran for president, and voted for him-*just because he
was black*. Your so-called innocent, not "really" racist question is offensive to black
intelligence, and shows either your total lack of U.S. History, or complete disregard for it. Blacks
have proven, for over 100 years, that racial bias does not influence their vote. Rather than not
voting, blacks have actively participated in a political system that was built against them, for
centuries. The question is, the only question is, would white Republicans be voting for John McCain
if he were black? I think Alan Keyes can answer that question for you. |

I do not know, I am from the UK, but out of curiosity, please comment, do Americans believe some
white people wont vote for him because he is black? Will the purely race votes cancel each other
out? |

No one will ever know. But if I was from the States, I would vote for him because he's black. And
i'm white. |

Yes, I agree that the Republicans are not the friends of the African-Americans, who usually vote
along party lines. So I disagree. |

It's a moot point actually. Blacks vote 90% democratic ticket anyway. You know, the party that has
been promising for almost 50 years to improve their lot. |

This is not true. Hillary Clinton was the top choice of African-American Democrats. (CNN) Blacks are
voting for the best candidate not by race. When Hilary was running she was in the lead in front of
Obama for a while. No only that there are more black democrats then there are black republicans.
