In terms of how the statement was posted, I would take someone I could trust with a different
religious background rather than someone I couldn't trust who had the same religious background. Are
you kidding me? Trust is above everything. If I can't trust you, I don't care if your beliefs are
the exact same as mine. |

Oooooh. Good one.
Wow. I am actually going to have to think about this one.
Excellent debate topic.
Well put across also.
Ok.................
To actually address your comment:
Yes.
I would have to go with door A: Integrity over religion.
In a spouse.
Not in my way of life or beliefs or ideals as such.
But in a mate?
Yes. Moral integrity is more important than religion.
I have divorced 4 husbands who were professing Christians because of sexual lack of integrity/and/or
abuse.
So, yes. I would prefer a Moral Atheist over a Straying Christian. |

Morality is a personal conviction where religion is a doctrine. |

Of course. It's a pity that many religions are stained by a lack of morality though. |

Good subject, I like this nipper, he is very sharp.
The two subjects are not related. People with integrity can be religious or they may not. Those
without, the same. People's moral outlook and integrity will bring and keep them together far more
than religious beliefs. |

I have little difficulty accepting different views on religion. Just within my own family I went to
protestant church, synagogue, and was baptized in the Catholic Church (as well as educated by the
Jesuits). Plus half the Jews and Catholics I’m related to are somewhere between Atheist and
Agnostic. So while debate at the dinner table can get pretty lively I know I can count on all of my
family to show strong moral fiber and unswerving integrity and that’s all that matters to me. |

If a rapist commits a rape he does not do so because of his religious convictions on the contrary a
person who has the proper faith would not even contemplate such action. So integrity is as important
as religion and religion oozes integrity |

I agree, though it should be noted that moral integrity and religious belief are by no means
mutually exclusive. One of the most moral people I know is a devout member of the pentecostal
church, a fairly serious (I wouldn't say extreme) sect of the church. Creationism etc are their
beliefs. |

No, but I can see where you are coming from.
If you were to discus this in more depth finsch. Ie: You are saying that religion has differing
degrees of trust or integrity, and that is ambiguous.
Saying you are religious doesn't make you religious. |
