Minors SHOULD be given the right to vote, what's wrong with you people? The people voting now, half
of them vote out of popularity, and another quarter are too old to care ad won't be affected by the
choices they make. Minors ARE the future, they should be allowed to choose what kind of world
they're living in! |

Minors have the right to vote when they are old enough to vote. People who are impressionable need
to be protected by Laws not make them up. |

Even most 18 years old haven't got a clue what's going on politically, but we as a society have
arbitrarily set 18 years of age as the line of demarcation between being a minor and being an adult. |

I don't think so. Its so surprising how little teens know about the election process, government,
and politics in general. True they know some, but most if formed off of little bits and pieces they
have heard and even more so what their parents believe.
By age 18 most will have come into their own. I feel more strongly now, than ever before, that the
country as a whole needs to be reformed. To do this we need a new generation with new ideas.
Anything that would separate the children from the views of their parents would be positive.
Beyond that there is also the government class which is required of seniors, and a US history call
(generally taken the junior year). These two classes can do a lot to inform a voter and help shape
decisions. |
