Every mighty empire in world history has fallen... Eventually. While they are on the top they
rationalize and justify why they are superior, why they must exert that superiority, and how better
off the world is that they're on top. But there's always a flaw, there's always hubris or
inequality or oppression or simply some other group who is more right than those wielding power.
Eventually others rise to replace the superpower as a liberator, become the superpower themselves,
and eventually fall prey to the same cycle of history.
Might does not make "right", it just makes "right now". |
