Obama continues to say he has a plan to help middle class, BUT he also says middle class is $250,000.00 a year. I guess we are below poverty level at $50,000.00 a year and I sure would like to know what he will do for us. Palin didn't even make what Obama says is middle class. Anyone else think this is nuts?
Middle class income depends on where you live. Where I live 250,000 is a lot, but it won't get you
far in NYC. I couldn't get a 400 square foot apartment on what I make if I were in NYC... But if my
job were there I would make a lot more.
Actually 90 to 250 grand is what most economists agree is middle class these days. Which I find
curious because it means that most people who consider themselves middle class in the country are
not. But of course that is why both candidates keep pretending they speak to the middle class
because most of us think we are middle class when in fact we are mostly working class.
