True, Tom Hanks fell in love with one so would I given half the chance.
Something about mermaids. |
| |
|
| |
|

|
|
The only people who say that mermaids don't exist are just jealous because they haven't met one. |

Has any one not seen The Little Mermaid. Duh she exists there. And there are tons of Mermaids in
the movie and a talking crab and fish. |
| |
|

If a mermaid did exist and could live in the sea,( I'm guessing would have human or nerehuman
intelligence) and did not want to be found it would be almost impossible, so why not any one who
think we know everything about earth is a fool |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Go mermaids!!! |
| |
|
| |
|

Mermaid women are hot. |

Mermaids are probably aliens. We tend to think that aliens are earth-dwelling humanoid creatures
like we are. But 80% of the Earth consists of water. It is only through a random quirk of evolution
that a land-based mammal (us) emerged to dominate the planet. If the evolutionary dice had rolled
differently a few times, dolphins or whales might have emerged as a sentient species before apes did
and, consequently, ruled the earth.
So, when we think about how life might exist on other planets, we should try and think out of the
box and not extrapolate from our own experience. If life exists elsewhere in the universe on planets
like Earth, 80% of the aliens are likely to be water-based creatures. Since certain aspects of the
humoid form, for example, hands and fingers, might be indispensable to any truly advanced life form,
we could expect a highly evolved aquatic life form to take on some of the characteristics of
humanoids. Therefore a mermaid, half humanoid and half fish, is exactly what we would expect
advanced aquatic life to look like.
Mermaids may be an indigenous earth species which has managed to keep itself hidden from the human
race or they may be visiting extra-terrestrial creatures. |

Why not, I think that would be cool. There are many creatures we have not discovered yet. Maybe they
are mermaid like creatures, but not really mermaid. Maybe they are mermaid. The Oceans are huge, and
new species are being discovered daily. Anything is possible. |

No are you out of your mind you go down and see if there is one |

Most likely the person who made the concept of Mermaids never saw one. He or she probably just
thought it up. So, Elvis isn't living in Kalamazoo just because it is possible. Thoughts like those
are based off of nothing. |

|

|

We evolve based on our surroundings, it's immature to still believe in fisherman's stories such as
mermaids. Do you see any pigmen walking around? Any liontigers? Mermaids don't exist simply
because if they do, then they would probably have lungs, since the top halves of mermaids are the
top halves of humans, and they live in water. Yes, dolphins do breath air, but that is simply a
subconcious evolution of their species that keeps them close to the top of the waters surface and
makes sure that they don't venture too far down into the ocean where creatures are that would eat
them. If mermaids exist, then I say the world if flat. |

|

I like to think they do but i do think they do. |
| |
|
| |
|

We would of gotten evidence or spotted this if it was true. How do they breed. Do they have sex with
there tails?lol I don't even know what to say to your repulsive question. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
You mean a half woman/half fish that breathes air and water? |
| |

From the core of my heart I bore a respect for today’s science and as a tribute to it, I believe
that there is nothing left to explore from the depth of the ocean. If mermaids are happened to be
here in our deep oceans, they would be discovered by men before. With the help of modern science men
have not left anything more to explore in this world. There may be some people to object my view
with their collected images; but we all know now that from getting a view of mermaid, it’s much
easier to superimpose a photo and produce it in a name of mermaid. I personally do not believe in
such photographs which can turn the unreal to be real. I believe in our scientifically advancement
which says that there are no such proofs still got that can say firmly the presence of mermaid. |

|
| |
|
| |
|

Has anyone actually provided any information that leads to the existence of mermaids? Its like the
whole michael jackson is peter pan theory....lol |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Cavemen had never heard of giraffes or horses, it's doubtful they ever had a thought of anything
even comparable to horses or giraffes. There is more proof they don't exist then they do anyway. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |

No evidence to support the existence of mermaids, therefore a rational person should not believe in
them. Same as Bigfoot. Same as the Loch Ness Monster. Same as God. Same as honest
politicians.
Come up with evidence and we'll talk.
Added: The evidence rests solely on the positive claimant. You want to claim there are mermaids?
You have to prove it. I reject the claim because you haven't made your case. It's really a matter
of "put up or shut up".
So which is it? |
| |
|

I do not think that mermaids exist. Mermaids are a mythical creature that was created in fictitious
stories many years ago. There is no scientific proof to prove that there is actually a creature out
there that is half fish and half woman. Above all, man is not able to breathe under the water, so
that right there tells you that the possibility of a mermaid is slim to none. Therefore, I do not
believe that mermaids really exist or ever existed. It would be cool if they did exist, but
unfortunately, they only exist in fiction. |
