It is a pretty unfair idea. Women shouldn't have to feel the need to lie about the relationships
they have had. Men make it so that a women should feel bad about herself if the number is too high,
but they can sleep around with whomever they like. The number is limitless to men. They think the
more, the better. I mean, no one likes to actually think their partner has been with tons of people,
with the scare of diseases and AIDS, but there is no reason to demean a women for how many she has
slept with. |

I'm not sure on which side to post, but mostly I'll post on here (based on title, not what you
actually said)
A lot of girls will (in my experience), between other girls, augment how many guys they've dated,
though admittedly they'll downplay the extent of the relationship (cut the number they've kissed or
gone farther with in half, double the number of boyfriends, basically)
But, when it comes to anything more serious than hand holding, girls definetely are not held to the
same standards. For instance, a friend of mine (who's a girl) seriously made out with her boyfriend
twice and almost had sex with him once, and was called a whore by most people. Her boyfriend then
cheated on her with something like three other girls total. All three girls were labeled whores by
most people. He was labeled a jerk by me and my friends, which is a title given to 90% of guys at my
school by some group or another, and not labeled at all by anyone else.
It's perfectly exceptable for guys to ask a girl to be his girlfriend and then break up with her the
next day, but if a girl doesn't wait more than a week and a half to break up with him then she's
called anything from mean to a whore. A guy can ask another girl out the class period immediately
after breaking up with a girl wthout any issue other than from the girl he broke up with and her
friends, but a girl has to wait at the least a day or it's called cheating.
Guys who sleep around are called players, and are patted on the back and envied. Girls who sleep
around are called whores.
It should be acceptable to only ever sleep with one person, or with nobody, or to sleep with many
people (not so that the relationships overlap, though, unless the relationship's open or includes
more than one person). It shouldn't be based on gender. |

I agree. I'm not saying it's good to have a lot of notches in your belt if you know what I mean, but
girls shouldn't have to lie and guys shouldn't think that the more girls you sleep with, the cooler
you are. |
