That lone instance is not the cause. During his 26 years of sitting on his rump and getting huffy,
the McCainchurian Candidate has systematically sought to make it easier for predatory lenders to do
what should be illegal.
But what do you expect from a guy who willingly made pro-communist propaganda for three years while
he was in Vietnam?

And on top of that, Buttman ignores the factual evidence of the point: McCain and Phil Gramm are
directly responsible for both the S&L scandal and the much of 2008 economic meltdown. |

Although I do not think the Keating 5 necessarily has a smoking gun connection to the current
problem, I think it does absolutely show how McCain really is in the pocket of the wealthy and not
protecting the everyday man who loses their shirt when these big institutions crep the bed. It's
amazing that after the Keating 5 scandal he even remained in office or to reach the stage he is at
now running for President. |
