McCain Is Too Old To Run For President.
This is my friend's opinion...Please tell me what you think about it.

I think so. If you watched the first presidential debate, you could see that he had a very little sense of the state of the World. It was like he was living in the 70's. He considered the World to be in a condition that was present back then.

It scares the $#!7 out of me that if he dies, Palin would be president. How irresponsible.

He could be a Manchurian candidate, still running a program from the 1970s that his Vietnamese captors put into his brain. That would explain why he keeps talking about Czechoslovakia, a country that no longer exists.

I think you're friend is right! He is far too old and even if he wasn't he doesn't have the right policies! But may be it's an age thing?

He is too old and slow and doesn't have a clue. Too bad Hilary isn't his wife as she would run the white house for him as he napped.

I hate to get on here with the stupids but...
I'll give an intelligent answer to the question.

The Republicans should have nominated McCain in the previous election.

That wasn't too difficult. No conspiracy flash but what the heck..

McCain is not just too old to be president but he lacks the simple intelligence that is needed to take care of a country. He is signing up for a job with so many responsibilities that one could begin to imagine. He does not care about the middle class. All he cares about is giving money to large corporations and of course big oil companies. That's where Sarah Palin comes in. She and John Mc Gonna Die Soon of A Heart Attack will destroy America's reputation

McCain should be in a nursing home wearing a bib, playing bingo with his chums and reminiscing about the good ole days when he was shooting up gooks for fun and dropping napalm on peasants' heads. He will be a mouth-dribbling embarrassment if he gets into the White House, until he keels over and a new Palinist regime begins, at which point we will all become nostalgic for McCain and the era when a senile mouth-dribbling imbecile was all we had to worry about.

72 and physically impaired. These add up to the many other things that make him not fit for president.

The only age requirement is that you be at least 35 to legally be president. The only other relevance age has is whether or not he has aged to the point where he can no longer perform the duties of president. The age that people come down with debilitating diseases such as Alzheimer's varies from person to person. Some poeple come down with these debilitating diseases before they turn 35 and some make it past 80 without developing any such disorders. As such it is impossible to put a maximum age limit on someone's qualification to be president. The real question is whether or not McCain has lost the ability to be president due to age. Despite the fact that I think some of his opinions are wrong I don't think that age has taken away his ability to make presidential decisions yet. Those who attack his age do so because they are unwilling or incapable of voicing their differences in opinion with McCain's on an intellectual level. Instead they resort to the ad-hominem argument of attacking the man rather than the issue.

He's not too old he's just too morally compromised. He brokered his credibility bit by bit over the years and as far as I’m concerned he’s got none left to put on the market.

The man is not old he is experienced. Wich Obama definetely can not honestly lay claim too. All these ignorant Liberal who claim that age is just a number when it of course suits them are now once again paying the "I can say and do but you cannot" game.

I don't think he is too old. I just think he is out of touch with real hard working American people.

I understand that people replying to this wish to voice their opinion's of John McCain, some of which are entertaining ; however, making funny or negative comments in regard to John McCain is outside the scope of the debate topic. The topic is "McCain is too old to run for President". This is false. There is a minimum age requirement, but not a maximum age requirement. So, Mr. McCain meets the minimum requirement; therefore he can run for president.

We aren't talking about what the law permits, we're debating whether or not McCain has an ethical age to run for president.

Last i checked there was a minimum age (35) to be president, but no maximum.

I don't think there should be a limit in either direction though. If a 24-year-old can get enough votes to be prez, why shouldnt he be?

"If a 24-year-old can get enough votes to be prez, why shouldn't he be?"

First of all, a 24 couldn't be elected because they would be to young. Second of all, "why shouldn't he be?," is a blind statement. He shouldn't be president because he isn't what our country needs. He is what CEO's, Oil Companies, or rich businessman want (yes steve truth, I quoted you).

Tell me specifically why people should vote for John McCain. I am talking about ordinary people, not CEO's, Oil Companies, or rich Businessman. All John McCain will do is destroy America's credibility even more! Make the right choice, vote Obama!
