It wasn't the norm in Jesus' time for Jewish rabbis to remain celibate. In fact, that would have
been truly exceptional. We tend to forget the Jewishness of Jesus and see him as the start of
something new.
Two major possibilities suggest themselves : Either Jesus was gay, or he indulged himself sexually
without going through the ceremonies of marriage. We know that Jesus and his followers used cannabis
extensively. This is what gave rise to their thoughts about peace and love. Essentially, they were
the hippies of the day. Most likely then, they also practiced free love with Mary Magdalene
bestowing sexual favours on both Jesus and all of his apostles. She probably made herself available
as a sexual utensil for them to take advantage of. This may well have resulted in children. But,
because of her promiscuous habits, it would have been very difficult to tell who was the real father
of the child.
Paul, when he was cobbling together what we now perceive as the christian religion, probably
realised that the whole free love thing would look unseemly and the potential squabbles over the
authenticity of any descendants or potential descendants of Jesus could get very ugly very quickly.
Most likely he just rewrote the record to brand Mary Magdalene a prostitute and tried to excise that
part of the history. It wouldn't surprise me if he tried to arrange the assassination of any of
Magdalene's children or descdendants too, whether successfully or not, who can say? |

Words, are just a means for females to stab another woman to take her out of the herd, to make it
easier on the uglier female to glean some making rights..... |

What was the book called? Sounds like fiction.
I go by the Bible version and have faith, that is is an accurate account.
I hear lots of people explain how Jesus didn't exist and others come up with these sort of
accounts.
If Jesus existed and he was married then they did a terrific job of covering it up. |

This is sort of stupid. She was a prostitute, but she was never Jesus' wife and she surely did not
have a kid with him. She was a prostitute and probably did have kids with different men, but not
with Jesus. Jesus did not have any kids and if he did, it would never be covered up. His kids would
be the princes and princesses of the world, and it is not right to cover up or hide anything related
to Jesus. Above all, Jesus would never lie. So, hiding any children would be like lying. As a
fellow Christian, I can't believe you would even think that Jesus would cover up and hide something
like children. The Catholic Church cannot hide things. You probably just read something fiction that
is endorsed by the Catholic church and the Vatican. |
