Marijuana Should Be Legalized In Canada, The U.S, UK, Britain, And Nearly All Other Countries.
It’s just the rational, reasonable, and right thing to do. By all means, the pros far outweigh the cons. Please take the time to read my response and give me your honest opinion.

Where I grew up it was the cash crop that allowed small farmers to get by until harvest. In the 80's they started flying around with helicopters and burning everything they found. Now you don't find any small farmers around here, just large corporate owned farms.

I agree with those who posted below me. Legalizing marijuana has more pros than cons.

I was wandering around Google and decided to add this link. Don't worry, it's keeping with the topic.

There is one good reason that i can see for legalizing pot. It could rack up tons of money for the gov if they controlled the sale of it.

There is very little against the legalisation of Cannabis. The chaps below have done a decent job of explaining why and I agree.

It can be monitered and regulated, taxed, it stops casual users from getting a criminal record, it is only fair bearing in mind alcohol and tobacco are legal, and it takes the business away from criminals.

Marijuana should be legal in the US. The only complication is it's accessability to minors and anyone who thinks minors have trouble accessing it now is way out of the loop of what minors are exposed to.

There are numerous misconceptions concerning marijuana. What needs to be explored is why. Why are there so many misconceptions? In general, has the "War" on drugs been a success or has it cost more lives that it has "saved"? Are we any "safer" from drugs today compared to yesterday? What is the difference between legal and illegal drugs? The regulation perhaps?

This so-called war on drugs has been a very expensive experiment from the get go. Don't get me wrong, I do not want my children on ANY drugs, but the B.S. Has got to stop. If my neighbor wishes to smoke a joint in the privacy of his home, I don't care. If my neighbor wishes to sit on his porch and burn one, then I don't care. I do not have the right to tell him he can't and neither does the government...In my opinion. Stripping us of our liberties usually starts small, but then grows by leaps and bounds. If people can not see that, then perhaps they should stop being lemmings and wake up! It goes beyond legalizing marijuana! It is far deeper than that.

The most influential drug lords dwell within our own government. I make no apology for saying that.

There is far too much to say, but I will share this comment from a trusted mentor.

"Fact is, we are a nation of drug addicts. We drug ourselves, our elderly and our children on a daily basis. We do it with prescription medications, over-the-counter pills, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine... And we say it's all fine because those drugs are legal." ~Mike Adams, NaturalNews Editor

This irrational law intrudes on our liberty (individuals deserve the right to make their own choices, especially if this choice is barley hazardous as not one overdose of marijuana has ever been reported, also marijuana is far less dangerous than alcohol), costs us billions on the “war on drugs” (which is failing miserably, good hard working non-violent people are being locked up for marijuana use which costs us as tax payers more than twenty thousand dollars a year for any given individual), the prohibition actually decreases the use (including youth; you don’t need ID to get it now), the medical use would help millions, hemp could be used for agricultural and industrial purposes (this would greatly impact our economies, even providing us with safer fuels, not to mention the economy boosts from taxing), would diminish the flow of money from the economy to international criminal gangs, and since the prohibition is based on lies and misconceptions marijuana could finally be justified. There are many more reasons, if you feel like you need to add one, by all means, leave a response or comment.

Why on earth would I want to legalize that "cra@p"? How about you take the time to read our arguments so you know you ignorant indolent. The supporting arguments over power anything people against this notion have thought of and will ever think of.

Drugs with clear evidence that they have severe psychological consequences for users should not be legalised. It's illegal for a reason.

Drugs? How about the particular one, marijuana? There is no clear evidence that shows this. Perhaps you are confused with LSD.

I see your argument, and it is quite convincing. But I still think it would make things too easy for junkies to get to marijuana. That's the only thing I'm worried about.

What do you mean by, "make things easy for junkies to get marijuana"? Its already easy, and how does that affect the reasoning behind legalizing it or not?

I don't know about the rest of the "guys" but I don't want to do drugs. I'm a little too busy for drugs. I like to get up early, hit the day then get good sleep. I also like to do it on a regular basis.

Partying all Friday night, sleeping for a few hours Saturday morning, partying till the wee hours of Sunday morning, then lying in a comatose state all day Sunday, trying to recuperate for work Monday morning, working all day Monday feeling like I need to be in a hospital, sleeping 10 hours Monday night, then living 3 normal days before starting again on Friday was ok when I was young but it really gave me an appreciation for feeling healthy which I think I should enjoy before I have to go on the old age drug regimen.

All drugs are banned for a reason. People who are far more intelligent and knowing make these laws(well in Britian anyway). Yes, there may not have been any cases of any overdoses, but spliff over time will make you increasingly paranoid and can cause brain damage.
Have you thought of who will grow and sell it. Why would any country want a population of drug adicts and brain dead. I would also like to see your evidence that it is less dangerous then alcohol(I asume you are talking in a medical sence).

PS: Your intelligents is obviously limited; you do not need to put "UK, Britain" in your title, they are the same place, under the same law and goverment.

To be precise the UK is constituted by England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland while Great Britain is merely England, Wales and Scotland. This is why UK stands for 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.
