Variety is the spice of life. I
n L.A. Margaritas go down so well as the temperature is 72 and sunny at 8 am. By around 5pm ist's
good to take a dip followed by a Margarita or two as long as there is no work the following day.
Cooler climes require different sorts of refreshment so it always depends on where when and the
occasion. |

Ok I'm not knocking Margarita's or Pina Coladas - I'm simply defending wine. 1) Wine has a huge
variety included delightfully sweet versions if that's your preference. Were you to taste Royal
Tokaji from Hungary or a honey-like Sauternes from France you'd probably like wine too. 2) Wine has
on average 100 calories per glass while sweet cocktails like you list often top the charts for
calories. 3) Wine has excellent medical documentation proving a health benefit. It actually
extends your life by improving vascular health, raising good cholesterol and lowering bad
cholesterol. Hard-liquor drinks can't claim all that. 4) Wine is a pretty universally accepted
drink for any gender, group, even most age ranges (speaking globally). But frankly if I order the
drinks you mentioned when out with my guy co-workers I guarantee someone is going to tease me
somehow for it.
Well, it's fine that you like what you drink. To each their own. Just don't drink to excess (and
no, I don't either, 1 glass of wine does me fine). |

Clearly from a female point of view. Beer and liquor is far better. You just have to know what to
mix it with. |
