I think its true. Who made the computer? Its man who made the computer. He makes the computer work, he operates it. Then why can't his mind work faster than computer. Why should he depend on the computer for each and every thing when his own mind can work faster than computer....
Aye, I agree, this debate made me smile, my computer's still there with a blank look on it's face!
Guess it will take it a long time to work that one out!
Well it depends by what it is faster at, by the way you have stated the debate, makes me think you
mean processing speed ( sorting dater, and placing it somewhere) then yes humans have a faster
processing speed then computers.
Yes,I agree with your statement. When god has given us mind and man discovered computers why should
we depend on computers? Our minds can work faster than computers.
I agree with jtgd just because man invented the computer it doesn't mean man is faster than a
computer.
On Microsoft Word the Spell check Corrects your story in seconds. Though a human would take ages.
Your logic is twisted. Just because man invented the computer does not mean that man thinks faster
than a computer. That's like saying that man invented the car therefore man is faster than a
car.
Brains and computers work very differently. Computers a very sequential while brains are very
parallel. Currently brains are much faster at some things than computers.
However this will likely change someday. While our brains are not advancing very fast, computers
are able to scale larger and faster at a comparatively rapid rate and it's only a matter of time
before computers will outpace the brain in all things.
Certainly our minds are more complex than computers; that is what allowed us to create the machine.
However, in terms of how fast each can perform an operation, the computer is programmed to carry out
certain functions, and can do so at greater speed than we can.
It depends on the task to perform. If it's a mathematical calculation the computer is faster, or if
it's exactly timing the release of a big fireworks display the computer is faster. However, if
instead it's about maintaining the thousands of processes at play all at once in a human body for
the sake of walking, talking, keeping vital organs running, then yes the brain is still faster and
in those matters probably always will be faster.
The two are completely different things. A computer can process trillions of calculations per second
- its a number cruncher. In this respect the human brain is far outstripped by computers. However
the brain can work considerably faster than a computer in countless other respects like object
recognition for example. The computer is not a rival of the brain (yet?) - they cant really be
compared.
That would be 7224.241967428871 I did that calculation long hand. and I'm still waiting for my computer to do it......oh yeah, it can't do anything unless I tell it to.
Does my mind work faster than a computer, you bet, even while I am writing this, my mind is making trillions of calculation per minute a feat that no computer can do. Not to mention that at the same time my mind can communicate with any of trillions of cells in my body or regulate the 3 billion dna strands in any of the trillions of cells in the body. Lets see a computer do that.
