Man Never Walked On The Moon In 1969
My personal opinion is the whole thing was a very expensive movie created by the U.S government. And furthermore i don't think man landed on the moon until December 11, 1972 with Apollo 17.

When you consider that cell phones didn't even exist then, it seems ridiculous to think that we had the technology to leave the planet in 1969

There is more radiation between here and there than at the Chernoble site. It would take more lead encapsulation than the weight factor achievable by the rockets of the time.

You're right he couldn't walk lack of gravity prevented this, it was more like a hop!

I agree with this. It was possible to fake, it was worth faking, it was easier and cheaper to fake. With that in mind they probably did fake it. It would also explain why they went (or attempted to go) back 4 times in quick succession and never since. They needed to get up there before it was discovered that they hadn't been.

There are only a handful of people that really know for sure though.

You're right. They also re-used the same bit of "moonscape" in multiple shots, some of which they claimed were miles apart. And don't forget the extremely suspicious death of outspoken astronaut Gus Grissom. There is an article on this in the Articles section of this site.

Boy ! You must be the kind of guy who still believes Elvis is not dead !
Stop polluting serious sites with your paranoia, please...
When I saw the astronaut jumping, because of the lower moon gravity, I could not have the slightest doubt. Remember, this took place in the seventies, when all the computer technology required to fake that effect was not available anywhere.

Wow, there's no end to crazt theories, is there?

It looks like the same lunar landscape because the moon doesn't have that much of a varying landscape. The only differences is between crater and not crater, maria and not maria. The maria that the Apollo mission landed on was composed of miles of almost the exact same surface features.

They went four times in quick succession because they were all hyped up about their success, and wanted to make travel to the moon a common place thing.

No, it wouldn't have been easier to fake. Have you seen the movies from that time period? You'd need way more advanced technology to accurately fake it enough to stand up to criticism so long.

I doubt it was worth the scandal that would've been caused.

Gus Grissom not really to sure about (don't remember him). Neil Armstrong maybe just didn't like being hounded by the media. If he liked being hounded by the media he would've become a pop star instead of an astronaut.

Actually the images in question are quite detailed. They have lots of contours, sloping bits of landscape filled with little rocks and indentations. They are very distinctive and you should see them before dismissing them. In fact, in relation to some of the photographs which were seemingly identical even though NASA said they were from different parts of the moon which were miles apart, NASA was forced to admit it. It acknowledged that the landscape was the same and said it had just made a mistake.

In fact it's illegal to broadcast something that's not true and people watched it at the seen take off so your definitely wrong. I don't think the people that believe this is fake have even been into to space so how do they know. If it was a fake we would have known years ago, but it's not so just don't be jealous you've not been into space.

Its my understanding, even to this day, (independent) scientists use 'mirrors' placed by the Apollo astronauts upon the surface of the moon to measure the changes in the distance between the Earth and the moon. The only possible way that they could be up there is that they were placed there by men (considering the technology of that time). Aside from this, they brought back a large amount of lunar material which i imagine would be fairly difficult to fake.

Please correct me if i am wrong on this.

It’s quite understandable how people who are not experienced in scientific fields relating to cosmology act when faced against something they conceive to be “completely absurd”, since it is not what they encounter within their everyday life. I see no objectively proposed reason why the Apollo Moon Landings were faked, other than all the “government conspiracy” theories that people claim are linked to just about everything now a days. Furthermore, there is not a single objection to the Apollo Moon Landings that is not easily explained using knowledge that most people don’t have when concerning the subject. If anyone would like a reference to a good bit of information relating to my point of view, please go to www.wikipedia.com and type in "Apollo Moon Landing Hoax Theories".

Hiz. Can you answer a few questions that I have on this matter?

Why did they go four times in quick succession?

Do you think it would be easier to fake, than actually go?

Was it worth faking if they discovered it was beyond their capabilities to get to the moon?
Was there so much at stake in the space race with the USSR that the would fake the landings rather than saying "No we can't do it".

What do you say in regard to Gus Grissom. Also to Neil Armstrong shying away from the media.

I sit on the other side of this debate with little conviction. Just interested in your thoughts.

I do not believe it was a fake. If it was a fake, the truth would have come out sooner or later. Many people believe it was a fake, but they do not realize that back in the 1960s, people’s minds did not work like people’s minds today. People in the 1960s had more morals and values and would not lie or cover up things like they would today. Above all, they would not have had the intelligence or the equipment to stage such an event and make it look 100% real. They did not even have color TV and air conditioning in cars was a new thing in 1969. So, to be able to stage a fake moon landing and get by with it would have been impossible in 1969.
