Making fun of anyone is mean. |
| |
| |

I'm sure that Jesus would like good jokes, but since this isn't, it would hurt me the most to see
someone make fun of someone that I love dearly.
And besides, what did he do to deserve that? |
| |
| |
| |
Jesus wouldn't have made fun of me |
| |
| |
| |
If you make fun of Jesus you're stupid |

Why go after the body when you can attack the head? Remove the head, then you kill the body. That
is how many see it. Many attack Christianity by attacking the heart of it. Plus, those who do that
believe He is a myth anyway, so they don't really care. |
| |
| |

Mockery, making fun of anything you do not understand is fearfulness, is insecurity, is response to
rejection by peers.
Truthfulness, accuracy? Never. |
| |
| |
| |
I think that if you make fun of you better be ready to get the favor turned back to you. If you cant
take the roast, don't give it to others.
Jesus never roasted anyone. In fact he hung out with the lows of the society in that day. |

I agree. Even if you are from a different religion, you should respect other religious figures. |
| |

No, making fun of Jesus is a mistake. |
| |
| |

It's is sick to mock people who were tortured to death. |

Making fun of Jesus is mean. If he wasn't the son of God, he was a hard bastard who evoked a
religion that has lasted for 2000 years, and in a square go, I think Jesus would win every time. If
only his followers were as tough. What a wonderful world it would be.... |
| |
| |

It's mean to make fun of any one, epeshaly the figer head of a religion. But i here some funny
things about all religious icons even my own. Altho according to the bible I'm gods son as well so
its my god given right to be mean to my supposed brother, no? |
| |
| |
| |
What did Jesus ever do to you? Huh? He saved your sins and made you a new person and as soon as you
accepted Christ into your heart you are a child of God!
People who make fun of the Lord our God you guys are freaking Gay! |
| |
| |
| |
Jesus is God's son and we should respect him- he is the son of God!!!! |
| |
| |
| |
Jesus created this entire earth you should thank him and be nice about him don't make jokes about
him i am christian what did he ever do to you nothing |
| |
| |
| |
It is mean. Okay, I am a catholic and not perfect. But, what did he do to you? |
| |

Nobody is immune from humour. |
| |
| |
| |
If he existed, he died almost 2000 years ago. The statute of limitations is up. Humor is OK.
The title of this debate, given some time and a little vitriol, easily becomes "Kill the Danish
newspaper editor for running those cartoons about Mohammed".
I am NOT using a slippery slope here. They are two extremes of the same basic feeling. |
| |
| |
| |
Then forgive us. |
| |
| |
| |
If people are allowed to make fun of non believers i don't see why we can not pick holes in what
they believe.
Here's a great one
'Jesus said to moses come fourth,
but moses came fifth and won a
coconut'
if Christians can stand on the street shouting abuse at anyone who is not a christian, or come to
our houses and harass our children, don't tell me i cant take the p*ss out of Jesus to make them go
away. |
| |
| |
| |
Hey he started it. I never tried to force any pamphlets on Jesus. I never called up Jesus asking for
money. Finally I never told Jesus the only way he could get into heaven was by kissing my butt in
just the right way, on just the right days, and in just the right kind of church. He’s like a
really persistent insurance salesman or something. |
| |
| |
| |
Jesus was laid back, cool, he hung out with all types of people, when he comes back, he'll probably
sit back and have a few laughs, you know get familiar. He won't be uptight and all
serious. He is love. |
| |
| |
| |
Fictional characters are not deserving of reverence.
If your religion can't withstand criticism or mockery, it's not worth believing in.
If you can't withstand criticism of your religion, grow a thicker skin. |

Religion should be a private matter. Christians are always trying to prove that their way is right.
Witness the persecutions throughout history in the name of Jesus!! This is love? What ever happened
to live and let live? |
| |
| |
| |
It is the fact that you constantly throw your magical belief system in other people's faces that
provokes this reaction. If you just believed in him privately without constantly making a public
fuss about it, no one would mind. How would you feel if people in your community were constantly
invoking Allah, or Wotan, or voodoo or something similar? You would get sick of it pretty soon. |
| |

| |
No. Making fun of Jesus while kicking a puppy would be mean. Just making fun of Jesus is, well...
Fun. |
| |
| |
| |
How is it mean? If Jesus ever lived, he's dead and long since gone by now, I don't think he really
cares much what anyone says about him.
Christians are simply over-sensitive. |

No, it can be hilarious. One of the funniest things I've ever heard was a true story of when a
well-known British comedian was booked to play a Catholic Club in the UK.
On the wall at the back of the stage was a huge Jesus on the Cross. The comedian bounded on stage
and said,
"I see you got the bastard then
I think he was nearly lynched.
Hilarious. |
