Magazines Makes Girls Think That They Are Fat Or Ugly.
When young girls look look at magazines, it makes them jealous that they stop eating . Also, when they compare looks with other models in magazines, they get surgeries and ruins their beautiful face.

Yes, because girls look at magazines, and look at famous models, and say, "Aw, I wish I was like her/him. I am obese compared to them!"

Magazine show a standard of what people think is beautiful... Many girls commit suicide or starve themselve or even cut themselves because they are "ugly" or "fat" when in reality everyone is beautiful in their own way if everyone was supposed to look the same we would so ... I think magazines shouldnt even be around and commercials showing a standard to which beauty is held either...

Magazines, TV progs, Hollywood, Adverts, pop videos and the fashion industry are all responsible for an alarming amount of young girls getting depressed and much worse about their bodies. It is very sad that these girls are under such pressure to look a certain way that is wholely unrealistic. It is even more stupid when you consider most men do not find the super waife look at all appealling anyway.

The whole thing is a con. Magazines create a need for a product by telling girls they need to look a certain way and then sell advertising space to cosmetic companies who have the solution. It is even more galling when the same magazines have stories about anorexia and how shocking it is when it is they who created the problem in the first place. It is our children who suffer from this whole bullsh it industry.
