It absolutely is real. Hidell names the disease and it has been scientifically shown to be caused
by prions which are dangerous proteins which do damage the brain. The prions form when cows eat
remnants of other cows ground into their feed. In fact societies practicing ritual canibalism in
the past encountered the same disease within humans and it is well documented.
The greatest eye opener in the mad cow scare shouldn't necessarily be the risk of the disease itself
but instead the unbelievably unnatural means the Western World goes through to raise its food
supply. What were we thinking? Why were cows ever eating cow remnants?
Oh, and if you're still convinced there's no risk then go ahead and have that fried brains sandwich.
I hear they're delicious. |

The human variant is called Creutzfeldt's Jakobs disease and people certainly have died from it.
Mostly they got it from eating meat from infected animals so, yes, you can get it from a burger. In
fact, you are more likely to get it from a burger than other forms of meat since burgers are usually
made from the less savoury parts of the animal's carcass left over when the prime cuts have been
taken.
The disease has a long incubation period so it's still possible that there will be mass epidemics
resulting in a huge number of deaths. |

Take into account how hard the government worked to make sure it never spread or was allowed to
progress in people who did get it. Now if the government didn't bother maybe the disease may have
killed some but we will never know unless it gets a chance to spread. |

Though I don't personally work in the Medical field, my friend does and according to her, there is
no real threat. |
