Absolutelyy! MTV stands for Musical Television, we all know that, but it's probably one of the
biggest cable networks that produce the most reality shows. It's just pathetic. What the hell
happened? And at least VH1 has some reality shows that are about musical artists. I don't know, but
they both need more music. And to add on to that, when they do play music, most of it is rap, or
annoying rock music like Daughtry or whatever. Play more good music! |

This debate is a little old, People have said this for years. Jack Black quoted it in School Of
Rock.
"There was once a way to stick it to the man, it was called rock n roll! But guess what, ohh no!
The man went and ruined that too with a little thing called MTV!!"
And bowling for soup quoted it in one of there songs:
"Springstein, Madonna, way before Nirvana there was U2 and Blondie and music still on MTV"
So yeah, a very good point, but its been said loads.

Heck Yea that is so true besides that the commercials are long and the always show the same episode

I agree. When I was a kid, MTV actually did play music videos. Now, I have to ban my kids from the
channel because of the more adult content. I agree with Grenache that they should have to change
the names. If they are not going to play music, they should not be in the catagory of music
television. |

Absolutely. They should rename their channels if they aren't going to show any music. 9 out of 10
times that I turn either of them on I see some stupid reality show instead of music. |
