I was in a long distance relationship which lasted 3 years. He was never there to celebrate
birthdays and holidays. Never there for me during troubling times. LDRs are more trouble than they
are worth. |

They are so difficult, a year after 'aleman' left the country we are still battling, we are no
longer together, but we still have feelings for each other, after only actually seeing each other
for two months.
Its really difficult |

It's hard to really know a person face to face more less long distance |

I so agree and unfortunately i am in one. They're bad because yo don't get to see one and other, and
be intimate like proper relationship. A bus trip or a train trip isn't as bad as say someone in
England and someone in America.. If one wants to live with another they have to get money for plane
tickets and from my experience visas are confusing.
Long distance relationships can be frustrating as i know and it's stressful and upsetting because
you can't cuddle the person you love when you feel down. Or be sexually intimate when the mood
strikes |

Ya ..why do you ask?
Because you don't get to see them that much and also you don't really if they're going out with
other girls/guys behind your back. & that is where i ended up. |

Because when you start liking other people and someone could cheat on the other with out them
knowing. |

Definitely its unhealthy and worst of all it causes a lot of arguments and a lot of boredness over
each other because apart from doing anything else than chatting on the phone the relationship is
pretty boring itself even provided with some who can be really creative, it will come to a halt
eventually... |

I agree with Jake. A couple should be there for each other, not in a different country or state or
whatever. How could you ever fully trust the person? It just leads to people getting hurt. |

I agree. In many circumstances, they can cause more pain than they are worth. Relationships are
based on regular contact with each other, and with a long distance relationship, it just doesn't
happen. There's no trust there either. |

It's the person in the relationship who should decide. |

Why is it so bad? You're just two people far away, knowing that someone is there for you may just
help you're self confidence by tonnes. |

How far is long distance? Is an hour bus journey too much to sacrifice for a loved one? Surely any
distance can be conquered in the name of love! |
