Yes, But only to the "authority". I don't lie to people otherwise. |

Little white lies are okay. |

To a an extent. Let's say you're gf/bf asks you if you're going to throw a surprise birthday party
for her/his birthday, are you going to say yes or no? If you say yes, and you don't want to lie,
what is the point in the party being a surprise, therefore, if you say no, it is still safe to throw
the surprise birthday party. White lies don't count! |

Of course lying is necessary. Without lying everybody would know what their birthday present was
going to be. A significant number of women would be over 40 and look fat in that skirt. More Jews
would have died at Hitler's hands. And the political electorate wouldn't know what to do. |

Lying in some situations can be seen as the right thing to do. Sometimes the truth can actually hurt
more than a simple lie. Lying is something which can give us a sense of comfort and pleasure.
Pleasure is something which everyone strives for and is the basis in life. To achieve this goal
people will lie to keep their efforts intact. |

Of course, the whole world is based upon deceit and lying. Everything is based upon deceit, lying or
being conservative with the truth. From a young age we are taught lies from tooth fairies, mickey
mouse, santa claus, the bible and creationism. Then when we are at school we are taught even more
lies that if we work hard and do well in exams, we have good jobs (which is garbage). Then, we apply
for jobs, we all lie on our application forms or CV's. Then when we get the job, we are paid a
salary to lie, almost every job is deceitful or dishonest. If you sell cars for example, you are
selling the car way above the wholesale price, that is your margin of profit, if you work as
secretary you have to lie saying your boss is unavailable to take calls. If you're a politician you
have to be very selective about what you tell the public. On dating sites, people lie about their
height etc, everything in life involves lying. |

Lying to an extent is necessary. In the workplace if someone asks you a personal question about
themselves, you cannot always tell the truth. There are always situations that require you to lie.
That if you told the truth, you would be in a bad position. People who tell the exact truth all the
time end up being disliked. Look at Simon Cowell on American Idol. |

No good ever comes of lying. I do not recommend it. |

As long as it is not the Gestapo or the Third Reich, Lying is wrong. |

I don't necessary believe that it necessary to lie in all situations, but I can see how it can be
better to lie |

No. Lying is immoral and in talking to the cops or in court its also illegal.
No. Lying is a sin. No doubts. Just don't say anything, better than saying anything which would be
untruthful! |
