My 3rd grader will begin Latin in just a few weeks (he has school year round but only a few hours a
day). I can plainly see that it will improve his spelling as well as his vocabulary skills. With
the rate of illiteracy in this country today (US) we need to do everything we can to reach students.
Latin is extremely beneficial in learning other subjects: Grammar, History, Science and Romance
Languages. |

Latin is a very intelligent subject. Although latin is a dead language it is still used all the time
in Law, medicine and in general society. Latin has helped to shape the English language we know
today so to truly understand our own language we most first understand latin. Latin is a very
important GCSE on your CV because it is used to be a doctor or lawyer and it also shows that you can
learn a hard subject and therefore dedicated to your work. It also expands your vocabulary which
will help you in later life. |

It is a good subject and shows intelligence but is not as important nowadays as it was in the olden
times because it is not used as much and you can still learn languages without learning it. |
