Then stop living so you stop killing microorganisms with your body's defence system.
PS. Don't kill yourself. |

I completely adore animals. My dog is one of my best friends and as much as it hurts me to say this
because I love her very much, I do not place the same value on her life as I do on human life. I
would risk myself to save her, but I would never be able to choose her over one of my children or
other loved ones. I truly feel like, in saying this, I am in some way betraying her, but it has to
be that way. My kids are more precious to me than any pet could ever be. I would be deeply sad to
lose my dear pup, but I could not go on if I lost my children. I suppose that is the difference.
When it comes down to it, human beings are just above any animal and if an animal is killed for
food, that is part of the food chain. Killing for sport or putting down a dog for conveinience
because it is no longer wanted is totally wrong, but killing for food or for medical testing that
will save human lives is something we cannot consider murdering of animals. There are some animals
that I don't believe should ever be killed unless they have become a danger to human beings and
these are animals that are endangered. Poachers should be locked up forever. Those who hunt to
survive are likely doing the animals a favor. Wild animals who have lost their natural predators
tend to linger and die slow and painful deaths of starvation (think of the deer populations in some
areas). This is a far too general statement and not at all well thought out. |

Some animals are bred to be killed. Its the facts and people have to understand that. If people in
the far past didnt eat animals they probably would have died of starvation and you wouldnt be here. |

No. There are many valid reasons to kill animals. |

Killing animals is only wrong if you're poaching or something of that sort. If you're going to eat
it or make clothes from it's fur or something, it's fine. It's only necessary for survival. If we
shouldn't be killing animals, why the heck are we omnivores? Would it be better to let them loose
for other predators that are going to rip their throats out until they bleed to death, and then eat
them? It's the circle of life; survival of the fittest; eat or be eaten; top of the food chain.
They're going to die anyway, and if they're in the wild they're going to be eaten eventually, so why
not by me? However, if we're going to kill, I would suggest doing it in the most humane way
possible; none of this "nail through the head" stuff. |

In the case of sport and poachers then I agree but this topic is too general, I'm an animal lover.
However there are circumstances when it is absolutely necessary, we do need to kill animal,
instances of food, which we have done for thousands of years and recently animal testing is a
necessary evil and does save lives. |

The survival of man has depended on the killing of animals for food for 1000's of years. Now, all
of a sudden, it is wrong? Give me a break! I have harvested animals for food and it did not feel
like I was killing my brother. When I look at my loved ones, I don't see food. I see loved
ones.
On the other hand, killing animals just for fun and not for food is just wrong...in my opinion.
Killing for designer coats and or organs to grind up into alternative Chinese medicines seems wrong
to me also. I believe in animal welfare, not animal rights. |

I saw Ray Mears set a Squirrel trap the other day simple but effective and something anyone can do
to survive.
I believe if the chips were down you would either kill an animal or die. Your choice.;-) |

It really depends whether the killing for animals is for food or as a sport. If it is for a sport,
then absolutely not! But if the killing is for food, then I guess it is okay. Meat contains lots of
protein that your body needs. If you don't eat meat, then just be a vegetarian. NO big deal |

You should specify one kind of "killing" of animals. Too general of a topic. |

If it were "just like killing one of your loves ones" then it would've been illegal for YEARS.
Heavens... Really? I could never compare ANY animal to my parents, husband, or my children..not even
my beloved dogs... They're not the same although I love them. I am all for harsh penalties for those
who abuse animals... |

All that is written below already prove you wrong. Another for you; A lion is not wrong for killing
a wildebeest.
Just like killing your loved ones? Haha, It really isn't. |

It varies based on circumstance. Killing an animal wastefully just for the heck of it is naturally
wrong. However consider these circumstances where it may be right: 1) You'll starve without the
food source, 2) It is attacking and killing your family, 3) It's sick and suffering beyond medical
help, 4) It's population is overbreeding and about to cause a collapse in their food chain unless
there is culling, 5) The research you are doing may save many fold more lives including even more
lives within that animal's species. |

It isn't wrong if:
A: What finsch said.
B: The animal's remains are all put to use. Food, clothes, etc... |

You’ve made too much of a blanket statement. Obviously it is not always wrong to kill an animal.
For example, perhaps a feral dog with rabies is attacking your family, or your family pet is
extremely ill and suffering with no hope of recovery I think most people would say the killing an
animal in these circumstances is warranted. Of course, I feel that killing a person is warranted in
those scenarios. |
