Again in the uk they pay you to go to school lol
Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) comes in weekly payments of £10, £20 or £30 which go
directly into your bank account.
USA needs to catch up lol |

I would be for this but it would have to have stipulations. I should say it should have a
stipulation in order to get paid you must get a 95% or better on a test at the end of each grading
period a test that covers all you were to learn during that grading period. |

Education is the law decreed throughout the Western World. All kids recieve an education till the
age of 16 years. It is for your own good regardless of how you see it at the time. And as already
said many kids through the third world would give anything if they could to recieve such access to
education. |

How immature! What are you implying? School is labour-intensive, useless or time-wasting? It is
responsible for educating you and developing your social skills. It is essential in order to
construct your future. In addition, if students are paid to go to school, it will be dangerous for
the economy. In many countries, governments are funding to increase the quality of education
alone.
Many childen who live in developing countries which are poverty-stricken and war-torn would enjoy
the gift of education.
It is illogical to think that a child should be paid to learn and receive education. |

That's ludicrous, who asks these questions, 12-year olds? People are paid for providing work that
is directly useful to the economy. Education, while it may eventually be useful in an indirect
fashion, doesn't qualify. |

Before free education...
Listen here spidergirl, if you wanted an education, traditional method required that you pay for it.
This is what happens with college. You wouldn't dare say that college's pay you to go to their
classes.
You have it pretty good. I pay taxes. So bare minimum, you have at least something tangible to work
with that can learn you a few important things. Education's importance must be stressed (Even though
I am a fleeting conservative against Liberal indoctrination [so everybody knows]).
School gives you a sample of world views, it let's you as a kid build people skills at an early age,
it allows you to have a 'basic understanding' of sciences, arts, music, phys ed, math, etc. It feels
like work. But it isn't labor with no benefits. It is a path that enriches your mind. And no one
would dare say that wisdom is worth less than gold. Wisdom earns gold. And the idiot loses gold.
You have a head start that poor kids don't have. You don't get money. But you get college
preparation.
I love college. I cannot explain it. My crazy liberal professors that I have grown to really like.
The cultures. Just all the forms of human life in one area. You really have to have a gift to be a
good teacher. |

You are getting paid, just not cash. |

No, but if you're too stupid and/or lazy to want to go you should be allowed to drop out and live in
the streets. |

Kids shouldn't get paid to go to school because that could possibly breed the mindset that you
should get paid for doing something. I remember back in the day (not too far back, only 28) when I
had to earn an allowance by doing some dirty chores around the house for a few bucks. Now I hear
about kids making deals with their parents about how they should get paid for doing anything. To be
able to go to school and be educated is payment enough. Like Grenache said, at least those kids
aren't working in some crappy little hut somewhere sewing Nike shoes together. |

No, you should pay your parents rent for the use of your room and various facilities they provide
for free. |
| |
|

|
Your payment is you don't have to go sew clothes in a sweatshop 10 hours a day 7 days a week.
Instead you get to focus on school, which the adults are already paying a lot to support. |
