If a kid wants to make some money, they should be allowed to work for it. Welcome to the real world
kid! |

Umm THEY ALREADY CAN!! The only thing though is that if works with money and other people so it
might not be such a great job and stressful |

I agree. A fourteen year old should be allowed to work in a clothing store. Many companies will
not hire teens that age anymore. Especially since there are many adults who have much more
experience and a proven record of dependability that have picked up those part time jobs due to
layoffs or the need to pick up extra income. |

Kids let alone 14 year olds should be able to work iin clothing stores let alone anywhere
because there are just some 14 year olds who are mature and who can handle the ressponsibility of a
job. They xshouldnt work all crazy hours but they should be able to work if they have working
papers. Just because they are 14 15 or even 16 they should be able to work some kinda leagal job.
Its not fair. Some 14 year olds need money |

Of course like every girl that is my dream to work at a place that sells clothes |

The earlier you start working the more character you will build. |

I agree i would prefer my kids to work in order to make money for that one concert they want to go
to instead of selling drugs in order to make that money. But then again on the other hand the more
money kids make if you do have an addiction to drugs they have money to buy them. So i guess it has
its ups and downs. |

Kids need money too! Say they want to go to a concert their parents wont pay for, how would they get
their money? And seoms369 - there's this thing called a job application. If the store doesn't want
them, they wouldn't hire them. There's also this person called a manager...he can fire someone.
I think 14 yr olds should be able to work at a clothing store if they keep their grades up and can
handle the job. Some kids don't receive an allowance and some kids aren't interested in other
activities. |

Bobby, you spelled the to in the description wrong...
Yes, kids should be allowed to hold a job at an age they show responsibility and maturity- usually
14 in many cases. However, some kids prove they are mature and responsible enough to hold a job at a
much younger age- like 11. So how would it be determined who can and who can't work jobs? |

I don't feel that 14 yrs. Should need a job therefore I don't feel that jobs should be easy for them
to get. Although I do feel that 16 yrs. Should be able to work in a clothing store. |

No because if we lower the age at which they can work in a public setting then we may end up with
even more uneducated people in society. Some people may tend to get too comfortable earning only
minimum wage. |

I do not think that a 14-year-old should be allowed to work in a clothing store or any other store.
When a person is 14 years old, they should be interested in going to school, playing sports,
learning new hobbies, and having fun with their friends. They will have plenty of years ahead of
them to work all of the days and hours that they want. So, I think that a 14 year old need to enjoy
their young life and not be bogged down with some minimum wage job. |

I don't think a kid at the age of 14 yo should be able to work anywhere in a public place. They are
too vulnerable and immature. A 14 yo would do fine at babysitting, working on the farm, mowing
grass or doing odd jobs, but not out in the public. That's just asking for big trouble. |
