I disagree with the concept of homework. If you want the kids to do more work then have them do it
at school.
But that being said i don't think they have to lose sleep over it. There are several other options,
such as not doing you homework, or following Specter's advice and managing your time better.
I must not manage my time very well because i don't do my homework and i still lose sleep.
Not true! Homework is not a problem, it's just a little extra learning. Take me for example...I love
homework. I also go to 3 after school clubs for exercise. I sleep a good amount of time and I spend
loads of time with my family. I manage just fine so why shouldn't others?
I think it depends on the grade they are in. I know a lot of kids that wait to the last minute to
actually work on their homework, then they end up staying up all night to finish it. Kids should
start their homework once they get home to get it over with.
Not true. Maybe some kids do have a lot of homework, but NO kids have enough homework--barring
special projects--that take them from the time hey get home to the time the go to bed to complete.
If it does take them that long (which on average would probably be about six hours) then they
probably have something mentally wrong with them or have a learning disorder, which does not put
them in the group with the majority of kids. If they do their homework as soon as they get home,
they will still have time to do other things they like/want to do.
