Keeping State And Religion Separate(Gay Marriages)
OK. I was watching the new, and they were showing a clip of a protest against gay marriages. Most of the people protesting were Christians. They are trying to persuade people to vote against it. They were reading out of the bible, and saying how it's wrong and such. I mean not everyone is a Christian. I'm not. I feel as if they are trying to push their way into everyone's life. Saying you go to hell for disobeying the bible. Saying you're not a good Christian for agreeing with them. I'm just thinking aloud here.

They need to stay out of other peoples lives and worry about themselves....a country with a 60% divorce rate and they are worried about gay people.

I don't understand some radical Christians. They state that if you go against the bible you go to hell. Then they try to stop you from going to hell? I call that a need to control your environment around you. Let people go against the bible if hell really does exist they will go there and you will never have to worry about them again.

The godbots don't want the right to live by their own religious rules. They never obey them.

The godbots want the right to force YOU to live by THEIR religious rules, and make YOU obey them.

I'm a live and let live kind of guy. If people want to be Christians, that's grand. If people are gay, that's grand. I think it is unreasonable for Christians to try and get laws passed which force everyone to follow Christian teachings. Imagine the reverse, what if American senators tried to persuade their local cardinal to vote for a particular papal candidate at the Vatican?

For lack of another category, I had to post here.

What I really wanted to say was, am just observing the gay marriage thing play out in the media, and the protests and all.

I am collecting data input. For at some point, I will, when I have enough information, be prepared to state my opinions about this entire subject.

I have as yet not reached the information/knowledge state,, where I could reason out debate this entire subject.

But I recognize the importance of this gay marriage thing:
It is a ground-breaking issue.
A test case, in a manner of speaking.

I have nothing at this time to contribute, other than I am working on this information at this time.
I will get back with you later on this.
