It is truly a sad day for us all, I'm lighting a candle even as we speak. Come back Joe69, please,
come back! We beg you. |
| |
| |
| |
Well one thing's for sure, He's given us something to do for the past couple days. :-P |

Gilligans Isle has seven distinct characters. They represent all seven basic characters in society.
Joe9 was one of those and played it well. As i said earlier in answer to a question.
His departure only creates a vacuum to which draws another who will fill that particular vacant
spot. |
| |
| |
| |
Same people..doing the same thing.
Tsk tsk. |
| |
| |
| |
True. He brought some much-needed comic relief to this place. |
| |
| |
| |
Everyone's input should be welcome regardless of whether we agree with them or find them annoying.
Besides, I'm still not convinced Joe9 is really gone. |
| |
| |
| |
What departure? |
| |
| |
| |
He is replaceable; there will always be a diverse array of gawks out there who will be able to stir
up a real contentious wrangle.
But for the fact, he is not gone. |
| |
| |
| |
He had already set up alternate to alternate identities before he even started this latest leaving
speech. You know for someone who claims to be such a thespian he really fails to differentiate
between characters. The thing is if you poke any of these diverse pig-in-a-pokes they always squeal
the same way. |
| |
| |
| |
Not a chance he is gone. Most we can hope for is a less annoying reincarnation. |
| |
| |
| |
Since you are not Joe, and as your own separate entity, Keeps, I just do not see why you feel so
sorry for him as he IS the one who did all this to himself; this much is very readily apparent to
anyone rational and reasonable in here. Joe likes to stir the pot, and he has done. What is so noble
about a trouble-making prank? I just do not see it, so we do disagree on this much, hope my
differing opinion to yours does not offend you. You for one and Grenache, and St. Balders, and
Genkaku are the stable, normal ones who have shown by consistency to simply debate and not take
things personally nor make things personal but keep it professional. And thank you for that.
I for one appreciate it.
And the fact that you still show human compassion for Joe, says something nice for your character,
though not his. Everyone stands or falls on their own merit or lack thereof. No one can ruin
anyone's reputation without their assistance in the matter.
But I did show the decency of saying goodbye to him in his shoutbox, if that is any matter of
kindness, Keepmindok, for the record. |

The Plumber was a cancer on the site. Every day the illness was metastasising further. If he's gone,
the patient has a chance at recovery. But someone that deeply delusional has to find an outlet for
his own inadequacies. Maybe he'll find another. Maybe he'll return here. If he does, I predict it
will be an easy spot. He just doesn't have the talent to run his menage convincingly.
It's not clear whether Joe's departure was voluntary or involuntary. His account pages seem to be
zeroed, which suggests action by the site administrators. I don't think ordinary users can delete
their accounts in that way. It could be that Plumber was notified that his accounts were going to be
deleted and tried to put a positive spin on it by making it seem voluntary. Or it could be that the
site administrators zeroed his accounts after he had already left voluntarily.
But assuming that his departure really is the result of administrative action, it's not enough for
the site administrators to deal with Plumber alone. They have to deal with the causes of Plumber.
The possibility of a new Plumber emerging has to be eradicated. That means, at minimum, an IP check
has to be introduced into the site software. Alternatively, each user's IP address could be
published along with their posts, but that might be seen as a privacy violation. |

If he has gone, then this is a glorious day for the quality of debate on this site. |
| |
| |
| |
You always get one. He is like the idiot at the party that wants to be centre of attention.
Spoiling the atmosphere for is own selfish gain. People think - do we hope he leaves because it
would be good without him or should we just cut and run.
If only it were true he has gone it would be a good day. Good riddance to bad rubbish, but he
hasn't gone anywhere. If whoever he is now can debate in an adult manner without resorting to
schoolboy tactics then I am fine with that outcome. I won't hold my breath. |
| |
| |
| |
It's not a sad day, he was an annoying, ignorant twit and the place is better off without him and
people like him.
Good riddance. |

Not really and besides, he only says he left, doesn't mean anything. And if you've noticed, Joe9 may
have left but that doesn't mean his other alias have. He can return if he wishes but I would hope he
would reframe from the vast levels of immaturity he has shown while using this site, I never really
knew him due to all the different usernames he used, he was very false. For and Against will carry
on, we will be over him soon I imagine. |
