To some extent, I agree. Much importance is placed on their holocaust, and rightfully so. It was an
important time is history and a time we should all respect and mourn. But we do tend to over-look
the other holocausts. There are such atrocity's going on today, but the Jewish holocaust receives
more attention than the current ones. |

I agree with the fact that there are more than just the Jewish Holocaust.
Stalin killed 30 millions Russians, for example...
Genocides in Cambodia, Sudan, Chechnya, Yugoslavia and elsewhere ARE indeed genocides and should be
recognized as such, no matter what Israel thinks about it. |

A year or so ago, Israel actively sought to have the US NOT recognize the mass murder in 1910 of two
million Armenian's by Turkey as genocide. The US obeyed, though the civilized world didn't.
Israel has also called for the genocides in Cambodia, Sudan, Chechnya, Yugoslavia and elsewhere not
to be called genocide. It seems they want no one else to be recognized as victims.
That's especially gruesome considering that Israel itself employs many of the tactics that the Nazis
was convicted of doing - collective punishment, weapons of mass destruction, ghettoisation of a
people and stealing of land, mass imprisonment without trial, torture, bombing of civilians, etc.
Oh, and the lie that "all Jews are welcome"? Thousands of blacks from Ethiopia are being threatened
with deportation back to Ethiopia where they escaped as refugees. Also, Christian priests and
ministers who leave Israel are not permitted to return. And in recent news, discrimination in
hiring and renting is commonplace.
Israel has a right to exist. It does not have a right to commit crimes against humanity, nor does
it have "special rights" which it seeks to claim for itself.

What other holocausts were involved in WORLD WARS? That's like saying the only important drug
overdoses are done by celebrities. |

Only a mook would believe that their holocaust is the only important one.
If your family was murdered, would you seek attention for them more than all or the murder of others
in another land? I think you know you'd want your family's murder to be known and the criminals
killed. |

Its one of the most significant modern genocide events, from which survivors are alive today. Why
not support them? Why would we not think of that incident when hearing about a holocaust, it has
happened during the lives of many people. And saying the Jewish community is trying to brainwash us,
that's just dumb. A terrible atrocity has plagued their culture, they have been ridiculed for
centuries. They have a right to remember what their people have gone through to gain the freedoms
they have today. |

Like FoxFire said. Just because WWII is the most talked about genocide that every occurred doesn't
mean that the Jewish community is "brainwashing" you into think taht it is the most important
holocaust of the worlds' history.
You are the one who is brainwashed if you believe that liberal piece of poo that started this
debate. |

I Agree that it is the most famous but not the most important , I don't think the jewish people have
the capacity to brainwash the world. |

I don't know how to respond to this absurdity. |

Brain washed is a strong angry word to use in this case even if it is exaggerated. Playing on
peoples compassionate side is the oldest
game in the book, it's called a guilt trip.
Any "people" can go that route if they were
treated that way by another country or people.
Was it a holocust in the bibliical days when they went through this same hell fire of existence, or
when their God subjected them to it? But still, no to the term "Brain washed." |

The holocaust should be remembered. |

We can use the word Holocaust or "Shoah" to describe the death of six million Jews in Europe at the
hands of the Nazis and their collaborators, and both of these terms aptly describe the cataclysmic
nature of this genocide. It is only natural that Holocaust survivors and their descendants have
wanted to keep the memory of this tragedy alive, in part out of honour to the millions who perished,
but also in order to show everyone the consequences of racism.
It is unfair and inaccurate to claim that Jewish organizations are trying to "brainwash" anyone or
that they are stealing the limelight. A range of Jewish groups have been at the forefront of
anti-racism movements, and have often been strong advocates of human rights; these activities
benefit all minorities that may potentially suffer persecution.
We need to remember that to this very day, the remarkably systematic and calculated form of genocide
used by the Nazis in World War II remains unparalleled. Other genocides have clearly taken
place--including the Armenian and more recently the Rwandan--but no government turned killing into
an industry, like Germany did during World War II. |

I do not believe that the Jewish people have brainwashed anyone. The reason we hear more about the
Jewish holocaust is because it was one of the largest and most tragic in world history. Millions of
people died. There are many other holocausts that occurred and they should also be remembered.
However, the Jewish one was much larger and that is the only reason it gets more publicity. They all
are sad and they all should be remembered. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
The reason jews are remembered for the holocaust is because millions of them were killed! Hitler was
the one who brainwashed everyone and hes the one who killed them all. |

Moron. The massacre of six million Jews and five million others during WWII is remembered as the
Holocaust because it's the most massive genocide in history that we know of. Yes, there have been
many, many others. A lot of them are remembered, though, by those who were affected by it, their
descendants, and others. The Holocaust is the most well known because it affected the most people.
It's not because the Jews brainwashed anyone.
You're the one who's been brainwashed. |
