It's hard for normal people to comprehend the kind of sexual depravity that may have led Jesus to
seek martyrdom in the way that he did. But even though such people are rare, they do exist.
Take, for example, the case of Armin Meiwes, a cannibal living in Germany. He advertised on the
Internet for someone willing to be killed and eaten. Several people responded, but Bernd Jürgen
Brandes was the one eventually chosen. Brandes was so keen for it to happen that he was even willing
to pay Meiwes for the privilege of being killed and eaten.
Previously, Brandes had been active in the gay mutilation scene in Germany. Bizarre though it seems
to normal people, there are indeed those who find this kind of thing appealing. We know that when
the murder eventually took place, Brandes participated eagerly in his own killing. We know this
because the whole thing was filmed. Brandes, for example, demanded that Meiwes bite his penis off
rather than merely cut it off. This proved to be unexpectedly difficult so, in the end, it was cut
off. Afterwards, they both ate Brandes' penis.
I recount these grisly details, not in order to shock, but to illustrate the serious point that
there are odd people out there who find sexual pleasure in things that, to the rest of us, seem
almost unimaginably strange. I don't think it's far-fetched then, given Jesus' demonstrated
preference for male companionship, to argue that he may have been a sexual deviant in the mould of
Bernd Jürgen Brandes, someone who could actually derive pleasure from being mutilated, martyred
and, symbolically, consumed.
The Catholic church has a ritual called communion in which church attendees consume either bread or
wafers which are said to represent the body of Christ. In a bizarre way, then, it may be that they
are subconsciously commemorating the hideous consumption ritual which both Bernd Jürgen Brandes and
Jesus went through. |

There's no evidence that he never formed a relationship with a woman, and there is evidence that
maybe he did. Why did he come talk to Mary Magdelene before he even went back to His Father? I'm
not saying this is proof or that I'm convinced He was married to Mary Magdelene, I'm just pointing
out that this seems curious. |

Then he would have been killed, not just for claiming to be God, but for sexual sin. He would have
been caught if that's the case. The Judas gospel is not a gospel at all for it contradicts the
Torah. |

For one its unprovable for second its assuming a lot. |

He MAY have been, tho many think he may have been married and had kids. It would have been very odd
for a Jewish kid his age not to marry and reproduce.
But I can't give it a thumbs-up because I suspect our definitions of "deviance" may be different. |

No sound basis. Besides, it's silly to make such an inference because what we know of Jesus, we know
by reading the Bible. The Bible states that Jesus was the word of God ("and the word was made
flesh"). The Word of course, refers to the teachings of the Bible. Several scriptures in the Bible
explicitly state that homosexuality is a grave sin. Jesus himself stated that from the beginning God
"created them male and female" indicating that he was in accordance with the scriptures. Your
argument indicates belligerent contradiction by Jesus which, from what we know from the Bible is
impossible. Simply put, according to the Bible, sinners can't go to heaven. Your argument states
that Jesus was a sinner. The Bible declares that Jesus is in heaven, sitting on the right hand of
the throne of God. Since Jesus is in heaven, that means he was not a sinner (being a sexual deviant
is a sin). Therefore Jesus was not a sexual deviant. Yes, it really IS that simple. |

Man, Hidell, you are one twisted guy, Jesus was not a deviant, His love for Mary was well known and
some believe that after His resurrection they were married and had a family. I know how your
perverted mind works, no it wasn't His mother. This whole debate, seems more likely to be a
Freudian slip, actually exposing yourself. It's also very offensive and maybe it's time to start
reporting ALL your offensive stuff, so you can be taken off the site. |

Hidell, you must remember where Jesus was from. A male dominated society, which still is. That's
also why most call GOD "he" when they refer to GOD. So indeed, most of his disciples were men.
There were also women don't you know.
Jesus knew what was in store for him, re crucifiction and torture. He himself sent Judas off to do
his deed, Judas then took his own life, for his love for Jesus. Have you not so admired a man, for
whatever reason, that you would help him wherever you could? I'm sure you've heard of many "cults"
where the followers willingly died for their love of the leader.
And it was Jesus himself, who at the last supper broke the bread amongst his followers and poured
the wine, the bread to represent the body of "Christ" and the wine it's blood.
The meaning of "Christ" is GOD realizing itself as man/man realizing itself as GOD. I believe there
is much symbolism in the bible, mostly so the uneducated masses could better understand. Do we
understand today, doesn't look like it.
And I think you erred in comparing sexual deviants to Jesus. Why you would even "think" that makes
me wonder what else you "think". |
