Michael Jackson's death wasn't a tragedy at all; it was a blessing. Now he won't be able to seduce
and molest children anymore. |

I'll take it a step further. It is a tragedy that probably hundreds if not thousands of individuals
have died in the past week, who far surpass Jackson, Fawcett and McMahon in contributions to the
well being of those around them and their community in the course of their lives. The individuals
you mention are certainly well-known, but have personally damaged many of those closest to them,
from what I have read. Not necessarily the types of folks I would memorialize at the end of their
lives. |

I'm sorry but I dont feel bad MJ died. I dont pity him anymore than the millions of people in
obituaries. I mourn less because of his accusations. Yes he produced music, so does the street
corner musician, sure he had kids, so does the wife and mother in the obituary who suddenly dies of
cancer. Its time to stop the madness! |

I agree that it is unfortunate that the news of Michael Jackson's sudden passing has been given an
enormous amount of press while Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon are barely mentioned. I am saddened by
all three deaths. I think that the nature of Michael Jackson's death is what has made is a more
sensational news story. At 50 years old, he was young to pass away suddenly. I think that people
hear about the sudden death of someone who is still in the prime of their life and they have to face
their own mortality. They become more curious as to how and why the person passed, perhaps so they
can reassure themselves that they are not suffering any similar ailments. I know I was shocked when
I heard that he had passed away. I then heard about Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon and felt sad for
each one and each of their families. Although Michael Jackson was the subject of many negative
accusations, I do not know if I have ever believed that he was actually guilty of anything more than
being very eccentric and strange. I always felt that he might be very misunderstood. I hope I am
right in that because I love children and the thought of him abusing children is disturbing to me
because I do feel that he is likely innocent. I might just be naive, but he seemed so child like
himself.
Farrah Fawcett was a beautiful and brave woman. Her battle with cancer is inspirational and I
believe that she will have more media attention in the coming days and weeks. I hope her death will
help raise awareness and spare other's lives of the suffering that she endured. I believe that she
is not getting he media coverage that Michael Jackson is because it was known she was gravely ill
and did not come as a shock. Her passing is terribly sad and I am also saddened at the suffering
that she experienced. Not long ago, I saw her on the news because it seems that her physician's
office leaked news of her worsening health crisis to the media before she even had a chance to share
the fact that she was terminal with her family. The fact that she passed with a son in jail makes
me feel even more heartbroken for her. I don't think any parent would want to leave behind a child
who clearly still needed them. The positive side to this sad news is that she is no longer
suffering.
I have yet to even see a news story about Ed McMahon and I think that is shameful. I know he was an
older gentleman, but I don't know how old he was or what happened to him. I will have to google to
find out. Admittedly, I am on vacation and haven't had much exposure to the news, but I am online
and my homepage has news. I have seen stories about both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, but
nothing on Ed McMahon.
I hope that, although there are some good reasons to feel that Michael Jackson might have been not a
very good person, people can reserve judgement and let him rest in peace. We may never know if he
was ever truly in the wrong, aside from some of the inane things he did publicly, but I think he is
now in God's capable hands. Although his passing is overshadowing those of people we may have more
respect for, I suspect it is due to very human reasons and not due to a particular love of Michael
Jackson. Whenever someone dies suddenly, it is difficult to reconcile ourselves to. His music was
a huge part of many of our childhoods and those memories are, hopefully, good ones. Perhaps that is
why it is so shocking to hear of his passing. |

I think it is sad, it is unfortunate that she has been overshadowed and more so that she will be
remembered for what I feel are the wrong reasons, her looks. In my opinion she was a brilliant
actress, I think it was her that played the role in a drama about severe domestic violence and she
is said to have been fantastic in the role. Also her fight against cancer is obviously of great
inspiration. I personally feel that all those deaths are a great tragedy and should have been
treated equally. |

Not really, her fans and family are the only ones who needed to know. Michael Jacksons got huuuge
coverage because of his status. She was a great woman though R.I.P |
