It depends on the situation, but usually no-one can resist a little sweet revenge no matter what
happened to them. |

People who do wrong should suffer for it. That is the bedrock of any system of morality. How you
define back-stabbing, and what the punishment should be for it, is, of course, open to debate. Since
you haven't given us any details of the particular circumstance you have in mind, it's impossible
for us to reach any judgement about it.
In general, the legal system imperfectly embodies the community's sense of morality and sanctions
certain punishments in reponse to certain morally transgressive acts. Undoubtedly, it has many flaws
and does not properly capture all wrongful actions. Sometimes this inclines people to take the
business of punishment into their own hands. This may be justifiable in some cases but not others.
Matthew Beck went on a shooting spree at his place of work because he was aggrieved about the way he
had been treated by his employers. His grievance may even have been legitimate, but his reaction was
undoubtedly excessive. |

As incredibly good as revenge feels, it's not right, even if the person deserves a thousand horrible
deaths. To be the bigger person would be to step back and love your enemy as God says to do.
They'll get what's coming to them. If you don't believe in God, then my opinion isn't really
relevant, but it's still not nice to harm someone. |

Revenge is not the way to go. When people betray your trust or hurt you emotionally in some way,
there is no reason to hold unto your anger and try to get even. This is why so many people carry
around stress and tension. Let it go. Let that person do whatever they have to to make themselves
feel better and you be the better person and let it go. |

There will be times you have to stand up and fight for yourself. If it happens to be against a
backstabber then it may definitely be justification for a fight.
HOWEVER, every single living person is human and eventually screws up. Even a person who outright
loves you will occasionally mess with you whether intentional or not. What are you going to do,
apply eye for an eye with every living person? If someone steals your parking place are you going
to slash their tire? If a co-workers weasels ahead for a promotion before you are you going to
shred their project? That's a hard way to live, and soon everyone will be looking at you as the
backstabber. |

And then they will get revenge back on you. Fighting only brings more fighting its been proved for
the last few millenniums. World War 2? |

Haven't you heard of the saying "What Comes Around Goes Around?" This is a true saying you may or
may have not gotten to the point were you have ever planted a SEED. And whatever type of seed you
planted good or bad, it comes back to you - good or bad. It's a universal law you will reap what
you sow. Even though you may or may not see that persons demise, rest assured they will get it back
somehow and some way. (Of course, it's ALWAYS GOOD) when we can see it or hear of their pay back but
when we exercise revenge tactics on someone who has hurt us but we interfere with the natural course
of the universal law. Even though we may feel good about it and justified with our actions of
getting them back or getting even, then they have made us stoop to our lower selves that makes us
just as wrong as the person that has done wrong to us. So, now they have hurt us, disappointed us
and last but not least we allow them to control or emotions.
What I am really saying is that God says . . ."Vengeance is Mine ..... I Will Repay." |
