I agree. Its not healthy to hang onto something that is affecting your life in a negative manner. It
may be hard to get rid of it, but it is best for you in the end. If the attachment seems more ike
its parasitic instead of being mutually beneficial, its probably good time to break the ties and
move on. There might be something better just waiting for you not too far away. |

Absolutely. Think back to when playing as a kid, you might have a big fight and storm off all mad.
But later or the next day you feel like playing again and sooner or later you end up going back to
that same kid and letting go and having a good time again. Why can't adults learn to rekindle that
ability?
"Turn the other cheek" isn't just a lesson about tolerance, it's also about letting go. |

To seek forgiveness in that situation is to reinforce the very behavior you despise. You do yourself
and anyone else emotionally involved with this person a disservice by giving tacit approval. |

Too many people get caught up in the idea that you have to hold on to things to the point of
absurdity, that fact of the matter is that there's nothing wrong with looking out for yourself
sometimes, even if that means leaving a "friend" behind because their influence on your life is less
than positive. Holding on to people only counts if there is mutual gain, not to say that you should
only be friends with people who only do things for you and you for them, but if all you're getting
is flak then it's time to step back. Anyway the worlds a wide place full of interesting and good
people why hitch your wagon to a brokea$$ horse? |

Yes, let go a long time ago. They would not be my friend to begin with or stay my friend for long.
They have to go through a probation period before earning the title of, my friend. |
