I'll take a shot at Genesis 19.

Two messengers come to town. Lot is sitting at the gate and is insistent that these men come to his house. The men say no, but Lot won't take no for an answer.

Sounds like Lot might be attracted to the men.

Lot takes the guys home and cooks for them. Before bedtime, all the men of the city (who might be jealous that Lot is having all the gay fun) come to the house and want Lot to share his new buddies.

Lot tells the men of the city that they shouldn't be so evil and offers the men his daughters. What a guy!!!! Lot is the best!!!!

The men of the city were hacked off about Lot judging them, so they said, forget the two dudes, let's get Lot.

The two dudes grabbed Lot, shut the door and caused the men of the city to go blind.

The two dudes tell Lot they had come to destroy the city so Lot needed to get his family and get out. Lots son-in-laws didn't believe that the dudes were going to destroy the city so they stayed behind while the daughters left with their mom and dad.

The city is destoyed (it's a metroplex...Sodom and Gomorra). Lots' wife looks back (they were told not to look back - it's always a woman not following orders lol) and turns into a pillar of salt.

Lot and his two daughters escape. They are the good people. YAY LOT and his TWO DAUGHTERS!!!!!!!! BLESS THEM ABOVE ALL HOMOSEXUALS!!!!

Let's finish the chapter and our little story....sit down kids...they always act like the escape is the end...let's see what happens at the end. Hold onto you seats!!!! It's a great ending!!!!

The daughters get Lot (THEIR DAD) drunk and have SEX WITH HIM. They get pregnant and have children.

So the moral of the story is...

God hates homosexuals but grooves on fathers who have sex with their daughters.

Yippeee....you Bible scholars are sure alot of fun!

Yes of course it should be illegal, they should lose all their rights and be caged like the animals they are, it is a defiance of God and unhealthy for our children to see. Making it illegal would take away the temptation for them and that would go some way to breaking their addiction.

Homosexual dates influence the way the children of America think about this act. I don't think anyone wishes for their offspring to be homosexual. If homosexuality begins to characterize America, there will be a revolution that would predominantly decreased population. And we all know that the world is continuously Americanizing.
Many argue that people should have rights. However, if a right will harm society, surely, that right should be taken away.
Several responses state that they view "shortie's" suggestion as thoughtless and insensitive. On the other hand, why don't we think about the people who would have their dates and possibly lives ruined by a homosexual couple beside them.
Laws are present to intervene with especially unbeneficial activities such as this.

It is true that the more ppl get the more ppl ask for! If gay marriages became legal, soon ppl will be asking for it to be legal to have sex with animals or with their brother and sister or mother and father. It is just as sick as doing any of those and all are wrong in gods eyes. Is homosexuality the devil’s work or a chromosome problem?

Who do you know who would believe someone who constantly cheated on their mate, yet claimed the reason for their adultery was because they were born that way? We do not know anyone who would believe such a story. Homosexuality is like adultery, it is not a biological problem, any more than any other sexual sin.

And after all of that is legal if it ever does happen. Drugs will become legal and other things of that nature. The world is such a corrupt place. I don't even know that I want to bring my child into this world!

First of all, your argument is all over the place.  I had trouble keeping up.  You state that if we allow gay marriage, people are going to ask for the right to marry animals and/or family members.  That is not based on any fact.  People who are homosexual are not perverts.   The things you mention are acts of sexual deviation and perversion.

Then, you jump to whether it is a biological issue.  I do not know if you are aware of this, but there are people out there that are more prone to cheat on their partners than others and it is biological issue.  You can look that up as I do not have the time, nor the inclination to type it all out.  Does that mean that, if your spouse cheats on you, you should accept it?  It does not.  It means that you have a personal decision to make.  It also does not have a single thing to do with whether homosexuals should be allowed to date or marry or whatever.

Further, you start in on all of the other things that COULD become legal.  To debate whether a person has the right to date a person of the same sex, you could stick to that argument without bringing every situation under the sun into your debate.  Stick with the facts.  The fact is that gay people do date.  Gay people do live together and they already do get married.  The marriage is not recognized as a legal union, but they are still in a committed relationship that they value as strongly as a man and a woman in the same committed relationship.

If you do not want to bring a baby into this world, go get a hysterectomy.  My opionio is that, with someone who has such a narrow mind as a mother the poor kid will have serious issues dealing in a normal society.  To live in a normal society, one needs to be able to deal with the fact that people are all different.  If we were all the same, would we not be bored to death?  It is our differences that make us who we are and our differences that teach us tolerance and other human virtues.  To have a child and have the notion that you are going to raise that child to hate or dislike certain people is irresponsible and I do not hold you in any higher regard than a skinhead or someone in the KKK.

I don't live by everything in the Bible. I am not perfect. I made no such claim. I am simply against wrong ideas. This "pick and choose" thing- yes, most Christians do it, like I have. For example, they talk about keeping all of the commandments but make the "Sabbath" the first day of the week instead of the last, which they have no right to do. Yahshua ("Jesus") kept the Torah (and the Sabbath) because no one could. He did everything required of a perfect Jew. Now, all I have to do is believe in him and love him. If I truly love him, I will obey him. In obeying him, I keep the Torah. Not the parts of avoiding dead bodies and bringing up a sacrifice annually (Yahshua already sacrificed himself once and for all) but the parts that are love: not lusting, not hating people, not lying, not stealing, not having pride in my own power...In conclusion, I was born in the "no one is perfect" club and I will die in the same. And what if the homosexual follows all of the other things in the Bible, loves everyone, gives to charities, etc. Does that mean that she or he will be sent to hell because they were born different? But by the reasoning of many, a heterosexual will be forgiven even for extreme crimes as long as they repent. Do heterosexual rapists, thieves, and murderers have more of a place in Heaven than the kindest of homosexuals? According to many I talk to, including apparently you, yes, they do. the topic is not about creation but simply the fact of same sex relationships.in recent 15 year studies the percent of the united kingdom (my home) by which is gay is a mearly 6% (3.6 million )compared to 94% (56.4 million) that are heterosexual.im sure that 6% less children born due to gay relationships will be made up with the illegal imigrants coming in.

If people start letting people do things that have gone against all morals for hundreds if not thousands of years, what will start happening? Homosexuality may be something that seems minor, but big problems start out with little ones. Someday some people MIGHT say that banning incest or sex with animals is going against people rights....

Morality is a matter of opinion, not fact. Morality is simply a set of societial norms, pushed on others. Now, the world's so diverse and split that which 'society' you identify with, and therefore which 'morals' apply to you is completely a matter of choice.

Another thing: There's a major difference between a relationship between two consenting humans and a human with a nonhuman (nonhumans, not speaking human languages properly, can't be proven to have given consent), a human with a nonconsenting human (includes those unable to consent, like the dead) and a human with a human legally to young or unable for some other reason to consent.

Homosexuality HASN'T gone against all morals for thousands or even hundreds of years! The Abrahamic religions are the only ones who have EVER condemed it! The Native Americans never did. Many tribes held homosexuals in reverance. The Greeks and Romans either didn't care or encouraged it. Many other ancient societies just didn't care, as long as it didn't interfere with a person's willingness to marry for political gain and father/ bear children.

Homophobia is and was always a completely Abrahamic point of view, shared by only a few other cultures and societies.

Btw, where does it say (outside of religious doctrine) that homosexuality is wrong?

If a women wants to love a women for the rest of her life that is her choice, if a man wants to love another man for the rest of his life that is also his choice. People are people. We all have the right to do what we believe in.
If two people of the same sex want to date, then why not? Why should they NOT be allowed to do something they believe in?

That doesn't leave gay or bi sexual people much choice then does it there are laws for human rights and equality so this should be so whether you are straight or gay. Does it really have any impact on you what the sexuality of someone else's sexual preferences are ? You cant just take their rights away live and let live

It should be illegal to date. Dating leads to sex and sex is gross.

People should get to know one another at church functions where many are gathered to protect everyone from rubbing all over each other.

Sleeping at home should be illegal. People should have to sleep at church with a lot of other people in the room so they won't be so comfortable playing with themselves in the dark.

I'm against it because if they REALLY like each other they shouldn't be judged!!So what they have feelings for the same gender?It shouldn't be illegal just because a boy liked a boy.Or a girl liked another girl.

now I have no agreement to anyone being gay on my time or my dime but I am indifferent to their choices it is alright with me as long as they don't come over here to me with their lifestyle. I will leave anyone alone as long as they show me the equal respect to privacy.
I do not like women and never have.
But if they wanna be lesbians that is their choice and I really couldn't care less.

The gays can do whatever they want to it is their right same as I have the right to not be gay.
As long as every heterosexual is treated with the same level of respect, it all evens out in the end. Equal rights for one as well as for all. that is fair and reasonable in any country.

I do not cast stones at the gays. I am not party to the lynching mob spirit never have been. It is the propensity of the herd to try and take out the maverick, always has been always will be until everyone leaves everyone else alone.

The human race will continue on in darkness until we all learn too live and let live.
That is fair and just and right.

As far as masturbation goes it prevents pregnancy and disease.
There is no sort of argument anyone can come up with to criticize THAT without just making a total and complete @ss of themselves.
So that's that then.

It definitely should not be illegal to date the same sex. I am not into the same sex, but I believe that people can make personal choices like that on their own. And even though it is in fact a choice that they make to like who they like, it shouldn't be against the law to make the decision you want. That is definitely not fair what so ever. This is supposed to be a free country and that is just discrimination. So it shouldn't be illegal. Marrying the same sex. . . Maybe.

For one thing it's dating and not marriage (although i believe that gay marriage should be legal in all states) and the other thing is that girls are fun to date! Granted guys are too, it's just why control something that will happen no matter what? In the 60's/70's abortion was illegal but did it stop anyone from getting them. It's also a natural part of humanity it seems like a good balance of homo- hetro- bi- pan-asexual makes for a good community.

If one made everything illegal that made no sense then many things not illegal now would be reason to lock a lot of persons up who are not already. Homosexuality may not be your cup of tea, but it surely is not reason to lock people up. Stalkers and Gossips and persons in jobs of authority who abuse power are surely far better candidates for locking up, than the gay an lesbian community.

As long as homosexuals do not bother anyone else with their sexual choice who is not thus inclined to reciprocate their advances, then they have as much right to walk around as anyone else does.

Homosexuals do not have to ask for your permission to breathe. Nor does anyone else, for that matter.

God created all men equal, with inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the right of property.

I am not a homosexual. I do however agree with the fact that they have human rights and civil rights as does all other persons.

I'm not a gay/lesbian but i don't think it should be illegal because they are humans as well that just happen to love their own sex. These are peoples choices and whatever they choose should be fine. There should be some freedom in this world.

Homosexual people are born that way. It is an inborn hormonal thing, they cannot help who they need to be with. What should they do, sit in their rooms all day and mourn with a broken heart? Maybe God made more than one gay person so they would meet and find joy. God knows a whole lot more than you do and if God did not want gay people here, they would not be here. Instead of raging against gay people (who, BTW, did not ASK to be gay), why don't you rage against your God who made them the way they are?

heterosexuals do not UNDERSTAND homosexuals but neither one of these two understands monosexuals. everyone hates a monosexual everyone thinks they are SELFISH. maybe God made some people to be with themselves by that same token huh, tinseldove ? .... why rage should anyone rage against anyone by that same token of yours in favor of just homosexuals to receive understanding....

don't you believe it is more fair to give EVERYONE that same type of understanding?

If you are going to give one group understanding then you should give all groups understanding in order to be balanced and be fair.

When was it your choice to tell others what gender to like. It is not your choice and will never be. What others want to be with is not even one percent your business. So, if got married to the same gender or dating the same gender , is the sky going to fall or it's the end of the world? You are not going to die okay? So why bother? There is nothing to lose if others are marrying or dating the same gender. And some people can't help liking hte same gender, it is soemthing that they can be experiencing during growth and realize. They can't change.

Tell me, why do so many people want to criminalize the things they disagree with? Why can't you simply be content to live your life how you wish and allow others to do the same? I disagree with the belief in god, but I don't try to make it illegal. Believe if you want, it's none of my business. What people do in their bedrooms is none of yours.
