God is the father, and I dare say, even human fathers see a lot of things they don't want to see but don't dwell on it. God thinks nothing of you sitting on the toilet, except maybe, oh, there is one of my precious children. I wish he would talk to me more and be less worried about when I am watching him.

The built-in assumption of your premise is that there is a God to "humble oneself before" in the first place. Where's the evidence for that assertion? Where's the evidence for the existence of a "power greater than myself?"

Is this God, assuming He exists [of course, it's merely a piece of male chauvinism to assume that God is male--but I'll put that aside for the moment]--is this God supposed to be the god of Christianity, or Judaism , or Islam, or what? These religions, if you haven't noticed, are at odds with one another, and have been at each others throats for centuries.

As for the "powerlessness" that you speak of, I'm sorry, but this sounds like mere empty pious drivel to me. I am not so powerless that I cannot take responsibility for my own actions.

And as to the spiritual blindness to which you refer [or, at least I think that's what you have in mind], there is nothing novel about that doctrine. Muslims spout it all the time. It's in the Koran. Christians also preach this doctrine. So does the OT [these warring religions have more in common with one another than they like to imagine] . If you ask me, it's just a cop out, a slick way of saying, in effect, "My argument is not false, despite the fact that it's riddled with illogic and contradictions and irrationality and historical and scientific inaccuracies. Oh no, my argument for the existence of a "power greater than myself" is unassailable. The real problem is that my opponents are blind to the truth" [whether that "truth" be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Mormon, Scientology, or whatever]. What a cop out! What rubbish!
 
As for consulting a Buddhist, thanks, but no thanks. I've seen Star Wars umpteen times--that's more than enough Buddhist indoctrination for me.  I prefer to rely on my "puny brain and limited senses," and have no desire to "transcend" them and commit what amounts to an intellectual suicide.

You have not been reading my posts.  I never assert evidence on the existence of God, for that would not be faith.  I understand you do not have this gift.  As for male female, again, silly notions.  Furthermore you continue to drag dogmatic differences into faith.  It is pretty clear you do not understand the difference between religion and spirituality.  
Powerlessness is a prime point of my argument.  It is to understand the limits of what you have control over and how little control you have in life.  You have power over your behavior, and this is a very important principle to absorb.  It is far from pious drivel, it i has provided millions balance and stability in their lives.  
At what point did i say anything novel about my faith?  I don't even understand your point on this.
Faith (for the bazzilionth time) is irrational, and is not something that can be proven.  It is something that eludes you.  You are the belligerent type.  The one who knows everything; yes you are one who does not have humility, which is understandable.
