Its all about a person feeling happy in their job and knowing they can generate an outcome they
wish. If a person isnt happy in their job and knows of alternatives there is no harm in pursuing
this although maybe some people wouldn't for reasons like routine and job security. |

Change is good. |

It's totally fine.
Like, if you got hurt doing wine job and had to quit, you could totally find something else to do! |

Yes, i agree with the proof. I know someone who was at the hype of his career, in business in
Australia, but one day he turned to his wife and said he wanted a change, she left him because of
that, and he is now "giving back" to the people. He is looking after the disabled and the depressed
and the dying...good on him, money means nothing to some people. |

Yes, you should be able to do whatever job you like. |

I believe that this is true. |

Usually, it is okay. |

I mean it's OK but then again it will be harder too. |

If you don't like your job change it or if its not paying enough just quit |

Yes why not! As long as you have interest and sufficient financial backup. It's challenging for
some, for fun for other. Learning procedure in human life goes on till death. We make our career for
better life. What's wrong in changing it to achieve our desired result. It's all about money. It's
never too late in life! |

YES. YES. YES. It is OKAY to change careers. Think of a career as a path. Along a path there are
good things, beautiful things, things that get in the way, things that may trip us and we fall. At
the same time, along a path there are other paths that lead to another, perhaps more wonderful path,
or a path that can serve as a detour to a better path. Along a path we may see people walking
toward us who smile, some will frown angrily, some will just ignore us, and one may hurt us. Along
the path there will be places where we feel the warm sun and other places where we are cooled by the
shade of a magnificent tree.
Along a career path, there are all of the same things: The good, the beautiful, the bad, the
hurtful, the places to go a different way, and more. Sometimes government decisions, bad managers,
difficult people to work with, and more block a career path. Perhaps these blocks are reminding us
to take a different path and walk a different way.
I know that changes of career, jobs, co-workers, salary, benefits are different when a change comes.
Most of the time, all will be better than it was on the other path. Enjoy it. Make it the best it
can be. Be prepared for the possibility of another opportunity in the path toward what is called
'retirement' which is not necessarily the final path.
After college, I began my professional career as a teacher (at $4,500 per year), Volunteer Director
at an institution for those who are now described as 'developmentally disabled" and loved bringing
volunteers to share their lives. I was Director of Retired Senior Volunteer Services (RSVP) and
enjoyed retirees and their friends. For 10 years I raised money for hospitals to benefit patients
of all ages. For 10 years I was Community Resource Specialist working to involve communities in
moving people from welfare to work. I earned Masters in Counseling degree in my 50's. By
retirement, my salary was far better, and I had reached my teenage goal: "My career goal is to help
people." After retirement, I studied for a year taking a course to start a new career as a writer.
YES, IT CAN BE THE BEST PATH TO FOLLOW WHEN YOU CHOOSE THE BEST PATH FOR YOUR CAREER (AND YOUR
LIFE)
Most important of all: Be sure to live life on the very best path of all as you pursue happiness. |

It is not just ok it is advisable! Sometimes people advise against career changes once you have made
a mark in one field but it is only human to get interested in new things and crave further skill
enhancement and knowledge acquisition. Today’s fast pace world has set a lot of careers obsolete
and people tend to change careers not just for the sake of change they do it for a better living, a
better pay or more interesting work etc. Seeking new challenges, keeping your career skills up to
date and grasping better opportunities is what career change is all about and there is nothing wrong
with that. |

I totally agree with this notion that people can change their career tracks later in life
because today in this information era, the intensity of competition between people has reached its
peak.
Today opportunities are hard to come and it is important that you do not waste any
opportunity that is good for you. The simple reason is that today there are numerous people who will
be willing to grasp the opportunity you leave. Besides a universal fact is that there is absolutely
no harm in knowledge acquisition, so by changing career you are learning something new which is a
positive sign.
Thus, I believe in order to keep up pace with this era, there is no harm in changing career .
You should not leave any golden opportunity that knocks your door! |

I think a career change later in life is a very good idea, especially if you have been in the same
job for a long time or you are unhappy in the job that you are doing.
It's always good to try something new and there are always plenty of opportunities out there which
are too good to miss.
So yes, it is definitely okay to change careers later in life. There's nothing wrong with learning
something new later in life. There are plenty of older people who return to college or university in
order to study for a new career. Life is full of opportunities! |

Yes, and for sure. Life would be really boring without change or challenge. |

It's sometimes the best move to make.
It's soul destroying being stuck in a job or career you hate and perhaps be in a dead end, low paid
job.
I'd encourage anyone to think about changing career or going back to college or university if it's
going to help have a more fulfilled life.
I agree learning can be lifelong and very fulfilling for the individual and their family.
If someone is unhappy in their working life, this can lead to all sorts of problems within their
relationships, the workplace and with health related matters.
It's not a waste of time or money to think of something else, nor is furthering the career your in
sensible if this leads to problems for you and/or the employer.
No one really expects employees to stay in one career for ever. Employers themselves frequently
change careers to benefit themselves.
It's totally unrealistic to expect anyone to stay in one career for the whole of their working life.
The workforce and innovation would be stagnant if this was the case. |

I believe that it is okay to change careers later in life because it allows a person to learn new
skills and to try something new. Many people consider changing careers during their 40s and there is
nothing wrong with this. It is very possible to work hard at one career for several years and grow
bored with it. So, changing careers will give the person an opportunity to pursue other avenues and
try something different. I believe that the more we know the better person we become. Being a life
long learner or at least, taking the initiative to learn something new is to be honored. Although I
love my career, I will probably change it one day. Therefore, I do not believe there is any harm in
changing careers later in life. |

No, I do not believe that it is a good idea to change careers later in life, and I would never do
it. People spend a lot of time and money to build their career. Why would someone want to give up
their career after working so hard and spending so much money?
Instead of changing careers, why not try to advance your current career? Surely there are higher
positions in your current career that you could work towards. For example, if you are a teacher, why
not try to become a principal?
I do not agree with changing careers completely. If you did this, then all of your hard work, time,
and money would become a waste of time. I think it is better to try to further your current career
instead of completely changing it. |
