| It Is Great That Prop 102 Passes! |
| Marriage is meant to be a man and women. |

There is no earthy reason two men or two women should get married. There are plenty of men and women
who live together all the time they want to, without any certificate. Get real.;-/) |

I looked up the definition of marriage in multiple places, and it said "the union of two people..."
then some other little details, but nothing about marriage having to be between a man and a woman. |

One is not gay in order to find the fact that inequality and discrimination are against human and
civil rights in nature: Disrespect, under another cloak.
It is an arbitrary discrimination to boot:
Without basis, for the cause that if you are not yourself gay, then why worry about what others are
doing?
If you are not gay, then it not personal: It becomes then just a matter of we all have the right to
be treated with respect and human decency.
Why withhold marriage to gays, since more than 55% of all American and possibly more European
marriages fail in divorce anyway?
In light of this factoid, does it really matter?
If gays can marry, then they too shall visit the same divorce courts of the Straights.....a doubtful
blessing. |

Is there a reason you find it great to ban homosexual marriage? Will it affect your life in some
profound way? I am guessing it will not. The fact is, many of gay and lesbian couples are living
together and raising children together. To make their union official will allow those children to
benefit. There are tax benefits for married individuals. These people can then get those benefits,
which will, in turn benefit their children. Finsch stated it perfectly and justsumguy is being
overly generous to the idiots. If the idiots are taught to judge, the idiots need to look in the
mirror and ask themselves a very important question. I am going to tell you the question so there
can be no misunderstanding. Here it is, for all of you out there that feel the need to judge
others, a question that should remain in your minds at all times, especially when you are tempted to
judge anyone other than yourself. Go stand in front of a mirror and ask: "Am I perfect? Am I
living a life that, beyond ANY doubt, is beyond reproach?" Alright, that was two questions and they
were the questions that one can ask if they are not basing their opinion on gay marriage on
religious teaching. For those of you out there who are basing your judgement on religion, I have a
revised version: "Am I perfect? Am I living a life that, without any doubt, follows scripture and
know, for a fact, that I am living to honor God at all times?". Now, justsumguy cannot say that you
were not taught. This is by no means an attack on what justsumguy had to say...Just wanted to add
that because I value what he says. He demonstrates that he has both intelligence and tolerance. I
simply do not want anyone to feel they can get off the hook by feeling they do not know any better.
I am a straight Christian female. I do try my very best to honor God, but I am NOT perfect. I told
a lie today. It was a small one, but to God, that does not matter. The fact that it was done to
spare my youngest daughter's feelings also does not matter. A lie is a lie. I can go on and name
all of the little things that I do that do not honor God, but that is superfluous. I only needed
one example. There it is. It is simple and I am certain that most people reading this can find
something that, as recent as today, they have done that is against Christian teaching. When one
lives in a glass house, one should not throw stones. I am so tired of finding these debates and
finding the gross ignorance of society. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs. Everyone is
entitled to have a moral objection. When that moral objection infringes upon the rights of others,
I then, feel it necessary to remind people that we all live short of God's Word.
For those who are not Christian or of any religious affiliation, I suspect that your views are
simply because you are homophobic. Get over it. Homosexuals do not want every person they see.
You are safe. To be homosexual is not to be hypersexual. If you feel you are so desirable that
everyone wants you, I guess you have a bigger issue than whether to debate homosexual marriage.
Perhaps you suffer from a personality disorder called narcissism.
I do not mean to come across as a b**ch here. I am being as straightforward as I can because I have
seen way too many debates around this issue or others that are very similar. I know of no other way
to make a point than to be point blank and state the obvious. I am sorry if this offends some or
hurts any individuals feelings. I never seek to hurt anyone's feelings. It is my feeling that too
many people are obsessing over this and spending too little time addressing their own life. |

There's nothing great about it. The issue is so twisted by radical elements (much larger radical
elements on the religious side) that the issue does not address the issue.
All that needs to be done is a provision put in place that affords gay couples (it's also a problem
with multi-partner heterosexual marriages but like I said, most people know little about the issue)
the rights needed to live a life with the same benefits as everyone else.
Anyone against such a thing is being an idiot. Probably due to idiotic teachings (not all their
fault).
At the same time, the notion that religions which do not accept homosexuality as being an acceptable
form of marriage within their religion, should be forced to conduct marriages for homosexuals is
also idiotic. For those who don't know...there have already been lawsuits filed against churches who
refused to marry gay couples where gay marriage was legal.
Shaking head...it's a miracle humans can get out of bed in the morning. |

I personally don't think so but I am biased obviously. I'm not familiar with the American
constitution but doesn't it state that marriage is a union of two people, it doesn't state gender so
with this passing I feel it violates/changes the constitution which should promote pursuit of
happiness and equal rights for all people. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
.It is my feeling that proposition 102 violates one of the most basic premises of the Constitution
which is that every individual should have the freedom to choose there own life as much as is
reasonably possible |

|
Why? Is it because they can procreate? Well then, why don't we ban sterile people from becoming
married? And if it has to do with religion, why are atheists allowed to get married? |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
No it isn't. Homosexuals have EVERY right to get married. Why does it just have to be man and woman?
Is it because God said so? Well, let me ask you this. Ever heard of SEPARATING CHURCH FROM STATE?
God is to not interfere with the law. |
