I'm not saying it's good to be REALLY fat, but i think its good to have a little weight on you. Its
warmer, and you don't really get health problems until a certain point. |

We fat peolpe get picked on constantly by the media and by the public just for being fat. StBalders
is a textbook example of the kind of the shallow twits who do so. Aside from that, being fat is bad
for your health. |

I think it is most important to eat right and exercise regularly. Some people are just not meant to
be 125 lbs. It is better to live the healthiest life possible. As long as you are healthy and feel
good than your actual weight does not matter (within reason). |

I'm on this side because skinny is usually healthier than fat, you should learn to exercise
regularly and eat good. I personally didn't care if your fat, as long as your not a ahole lol |

I'm 97 pounds and I'm no less capable of anything than someone twice my size... In many areas I'm
more capable... |

I agree with what Asset said about not making room for a normal range and making this debate about
two extremes. While someone who is too thin is not healthy, they are less likely to die of
diabetes, certain cancers or heart disease. Fat is very unhealthy. I do not feel it is a matter of
only appearance. It is much more a matter of what is and is not healthy. As long as your BMI (Body
Mass Index) is within a normal range, your health is likely not to suffer the effects of your
weight. A high BMI does contribute to a host of health issues. You are correct that a very skinny
person gets chilled more easily, as they have less "insulation". They, however are not more prone
to injury. Actually, being obese, is terribly hard on your joints and causes aches and pains that
would be kept under better control by losing some weight. Our bodies are not meant to support so
much extra weight. I am not talking about people who are carrying a few extra pounds so much as I
am mentioning that an obese person is basically wearing out their body by expecting their bones and
joints to carry around so much extra weight. Oh, and forget the "glandular" excuses. I worked in
family practice. When we had morbidly obese patients come into the office, the vast majority of
them had no thyroid or other condition that caused the obesity. The "illness" that caused their
obesity was their inability to stop eating. There was one woman that could barely breathe at the
weight she attained. She was hospitalized and put on an extreme diet. She lost weight rapidly.
Guess what happened upon discharge from the hospital? You got it....she gained it all back. She
did not live long past that. I do not deny these people have a problem and they have my sympathy.
I think they need to see a good therapist and find out why they seek comfort in food, rather than in
some other more healthy activity. Everyone overeats at times. There are some people who do it far
too often. One woman asked me how I stayed slender. I talked with her about diet. She said she
ate like a bird. That was accurate, as a bird eats several times their body weight in food per day.
I asked her what she had for breakfast. Her response? "Only a dozen donuts". I cannot eat more
than two at the most and usually have a difficult time finishing one. A dozen is NOT normal. |

Fat globules are repulsive.
No one likes fat.
Also, there is a weight called, "Normal", or "Slender" which is the doctor's Ideal Weight chart:
Your debate did not make room for anything other than two out-lying-extremes in weight. I vote this
side. |

It doesn't matter to me fat or skinny you're still a good person if you're fat and no one likes you

i was fat or skinny that makes me me and that's just how i feel yall got a problem with it tell me
